Despite her junior season being cut short due to a season-ending injury, Nelms still brings a multi-versatile role to her game whether it’s her scoring on the interior as well as expanding into becoming a perimeter threat. The 6-1 forward brought the ability to stretch the floor knocking down shots from inside the paint, as well as from beyond the arc for Miami Country Day. At her size and her length, Nelms could score with the best of them and shot 50 percent from the floor, including 48 percent from beyond the arc. She is also a rebounding machine, where she led her team averaging 9.8 rebounds per game this season. Nelms was also named a finalist for the Class 3A Player of the Year award in the state of Florida.

The 6-1 junior power forward is not your traditional power forward, as she can stretch the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers. During the regular season, Nelms averaged 17.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game for Miami Country Day. She also has the ability to score from inside and finishes efficiently well on both sides of the basket.
