While that doesn’t sound like a high bar to climb, for many players, to even reach that goal is something in itself. So, let’s talk about that more in this article, focusing on talent from the Big North.
Nadia Otuyelu Nadia Otuyelu PF Ridgefield Park | 2026 State NJ – Ridgefield Park (2026)
An easy choice to begin this article, Otuyelu is a special talent out of Ridgefield Park, a player who averaged a double-double as a freshman with 4.3 blocks a game. That is just pure domination if we had to put it lightly, but in doing so, her scoring was her strongsuit. She averaged 11.7 PPG in 27 games and is just 183 points away from 500, something she should reach mid-season.
Gabriella Bartelucci Gabriella Bartelucci CG Dumont | 2025 State NJ – Dumont (2025)
Bartelucci got her first taste of varsity action for Dumont as a sophomore, but she dominated offensively in that time, averaging 14.1 PPG in 25 games with nearly two made three-pointers a game. She did just about anything you could ask for on the offensive side of the basketball and was truly a force to be reckoned with for Dumont. Right now, she sits 147 points away from 500, what should be a relatively easy mark to reach.
Deziray Nieves – Cliffside Park (2024)
Nieves goes under-the-radar just like Cliffside Park, a program in a bit of limbo right now coming off a 7-17 season in 2022/23. That doesn’t mean that this team can’t make heads turn this coming season, and they’ll need players like Nieves to step up into much larger roles. She’s just 219 points away from 500 and as she’s played more, she’s produced more on the court. We’re really curious to see if she can flirt with double-figure offensive averages as a senior.
Cate Weinberger Cate Weinberger SG Northern Highlands | 2024 NJ – Northern Highlands (2024)
Heading into her senior season with Northern Highlands, Weinberger has a big ask of her, along with other playmakers in the 2024 class. The program’s three best offensive players from last season all graduated, leaving her and Sienna Corey Sienna Corey 5'6" | PG Northern Highlands | 2024 State NJ to fill in the gaps. Weinberger had a strong junior season, averaging 7.6 PPG and 1.4 made threes a game, leaving her just 143 points short of 500. She’s going to easily cross that barrier next season as a big time playmaker for the Highlanders.
Alysha Arora Alysha Arora SG Ridgewood | 2024 NJ – Ridgewood (2024)
The rising seniors on this list have just a bit more to play for this season, their last in high school, and Arora is no different to the mix. Coming off her best high school season as a junior, the sharp-shooter from deep is looking to set new career-highs across the board with just 122 points between her and 500 for her career. A scoring average of 8.8 PPG along with 1.6 made threes a game is very encouraging for what this year has in store for her.
Olivia Isaacson Olivia Isaacson PG Wayne Valley | 2024 State NJ – Wayne Valley (2024)
We conclude this article discussing Olivia Isaacson Olivia Isaacson PG Wayne Valley | 2024 State NJ , a rising senior out of Wayne Valley who catapulted herself into the conversation of one of the best players in the Big North, especially from the senior class. Averaging 11.6 PPG with 29 made threes, Isaacson came into her own offensively as she now sits 77 points away from 500 for her career, a total she could theoretically reach within her first five games next season.
