Libby Fanning Libby Fanning 6'0" | C College Heights | 2025 State MO (Rainmakers): The 6’0″ 2025 forward from College Heights is an excellent post player and rebounder who gets the job done with good ol’ fashion footwork and good positioning around the basket. She was matched up with a girl several inches taller in the game I watched and she gave out some good lessons on post play. She was always active and getting good seals inside. She scored on spin moves and drop steps and used both hands. She is also a good passer who will step out and hit the 3-pointer off the pick and pop.

Madison Queathem ( Team Blackout 17): The 5’5″ 2024 guard from Montgomery County put on quite a display in her team’s first game of the day. She hit at least six 3-pointers and the more she got it going, the more her teammates looked for her as they recognized who had the hot hand. When she wasn’t knocking down 3-pointers, she was getting on the floor hustling for loose balls and getting steals off the full court press. She also handled the ball well and had a nice float game in the lane.

Evie Caruso (TC Hoops 17U): It was my first time watching this 6’1″ 2024 forward play in person and she was very impressive. She is an ideal “Stretch 4” as she can step out and knock down the 3-pointer to space the floor. She can also put the ball on the floor and make a move off the dribble. It looked pretty smooth. Although she is more comfortable on the perimeter, she can score inside as she is more effective catching the ball on the move rather than posting up. She was also a factor on the defensive end as she contested many shots with her length.

Maggie Gunn Maggie Gunn 5'11" | PF Kirkwood | 2026 State MO (St Louis Gators 15U): A 5’11” 2026 forward from Kirkwood who combined good size and versatility to cause matchup problems for defenders. She looks to attack off the dribble and she has a good turn and face game from the high post. She also has some good, strong moves to score in the low post. She scored 22 points in one of her team’s games on Sunday. She is aggressive and she combines it with some finesse around the basket.

player_tooltip player_id=’645080′ first=’Ireland’ last=’Jones’] ( Missouri Flight 17U): The 2024 point guard from Clever is a bundle of energy and positivity along with her ability to play the position very well. She has an uncanny ability to get in the lane and score on these underhand scoop shots in traffic against taller defenders. She does a good job of getting the ball underneath the arm of the defender and still making the shot. She will also keep the defenders honest by knocking down the 3-pointer off the dribble. She has good quickness and change of direction to battle pressure defense and get her team into its offense.
******
Savannah Butterfield (Napheesa Collier Elite 17U-Humiston): A 6’0″ guard from Lutheran South who was very impressive in the one half that I watched her play. She scored 12 points and displayed a versatile all-around skill set. She has a long stride when she attacked the basket on the dribble. She also dropped a couple no-look dimes that were tremendous. She scored on some smooth step-throughs in traffic and she also made good use of shots fakes to set up her moves. She operated in the high post well and she also got a bucket in the low post. Very impressive.

Kara Durso Kara Durso 5'10" | SG Liberty North | 2026 MO ( Real Dream Chasers 2025): A 5’10” 2026 wing from Liberty North who plays with tremendous energy at both ends of the court. On her first touch in the low post, she went right at the defender and drew the contact to get to the free throw line. That set the tone for how she played the rest of the way. She was aggressive on the drive and had some tough finishes in the lane. She also displayed a nice touch from the perimeter as she had the mid-range jumper and a Corner 3-pointer. She also had a chase down block and had a couple of steals on the full court press.
