Chardel Terrell Chardel Terrell 5'6" | CG Clear Brook | 2025 State TX -5’9 G (Cy Fair Premier 2025 National)
Terrell and her explosive first step caught my eye a long time ago yet she showed me even more when I evaluated her team before club season. Her attacking the basket and finishing after contact has gotten better, and so has her body control but her “on the ball” pressure from baseline to baseline helped create turnovers
Chloe Donnell Chloe Donnell 5'7" | PG Boerne | 2025 State TX -5’7 ( SA Hoops Elite Gold JK)
Donnell could always shoot the ball, I’ve been watching her drop it from just about everywhere on the court over the years yet I was just as impressed at her not only attacking the basket from multiple angles but finishing after contact. She’s more aggressive on both ends of the floor which is a plus, and her court vision under pressure has gotten better
Mady Williams -5’5 G (2024 Hoop 10 United Nike)
Williams not only does a good job of creating her shot under pressure but knocking it down while being defended, but I already knew that. Her “stop and pop” in transition has gotten better and so has her attacking the basket, her deceptive first step plays a part in that. She also saw the floor both in the set as well as the open court
Riot Allan-5’10 G/F (Lady AE Black Amerisports)
Allan has steadily shown me something different every chance I got to see her and her ability to create her shot was already there as she understands how to set the defender up to drop the jumper or attack the basket. Her pull-up jumper from multiple spots has gotten better, and so has her range but watching her “catch and shoot” while being defended was really nice
Landrie Polk Landrie Polk 5'6" | PG Weatherford | 2025 State TX -5’6 PG (TX Platinum 2025 S40 Dollar)
Polk is a heady guard that plays within herself and understands the importance of controlling the tempo yet her setting teammates up for “good looks” had me smiling, and so did her body control while attacking the basket to score. I also enjoyed the pull-up jumper in the set but her playing the passing lane as well as her defense has shot up
Mattie Dollar Mattie Dollar 5'10" | SF Newcastle | 2025 State TX -5’10 SF (TX Platinum 2025 S40 Dollar)
Dollar has the right last name as you can “count it” whether she’s setting the defender up to attack the basket or drop the mid to long-range with a hand in her face. She elevates on her jumper and releases it at the right time but her “stop and pop” jumper gave her options. She did a good job playing the passing lane and handling the ball afterward
Brooklyn Mims Brooklyn Mims 5'10" | SG Oak Ridge | 2025 State TX -5’10 SG ( IQ Hoops Elite)
Mims caught my eye years ago with another team yet I had lost track of her but watching her create her shot under pressure and drop it consistently had me smiling. She attacks the basket with either hand and finishes strongly after contact but her playing the passing lane and baseline-to-baseline pressure was more than solid
Chanel Embra-5’8 G ( Rock Nation 2025)
Embra is a “long and athletic” guard with a nice first step to get the defender to lean. Once that happens, she’s gone and when you factor in her body control enables her to create contact, that’s big yet so is her creating her shot to drop the jumper. She showed a slight HEZ for spacing and her “catch and shoot” from long range was a problem for defenders
Keynarjha Robinson-5’8 G/F (2025 3T Nation Marks)
Robinson is another “long and athletic” guard that plays taller than what her listed height says. She has UPS and watching her elevate over defenders to score off the dribble was already there yet her poise under pressure to hit the big shot that could change the momentum. Those same UPS also help her grab rebounds against taller players and she plays the passing lane
Allie Tillerson-5’6 G ( SETX Elite )
Tillerson was a THRILLASON on the opening day of the Simmie Colson Classic, yeah I already said that but watching her come out and drop it from everywhere JUDST DID IT for me. She has shown me she’s more than a long ball shooter, her court vision and ballhandling, both under pressure were really good, as was her defense. But she can still shoot it!
