It left with a lot more. In this article we look at the 2024 Forwards and hilight their performances at Run 4 Roses.
Kali Barrett Kali Barrett 6'2" | SF Cardinal Mooney | 2025 State FL is an unbelievable talent. One glimpse and ” the real deal” is the phrase that came to mind. The basketball IQ and the basketball skills were on display. So was “every” college coach in the Kentucky Expo Center. Her ability to shoot the ball from anywhere on the court at all levels was rather impressive. The play of the game – a one legged fade away in the middle of the paint. There is a reason she is on top of a lot of rankings lists. She is “the real deal.”
Clare Coyle Clare Coyle 6'1" | PF Bishop Kenny | 2024 State FL was a beast at Run for Roses. As usual her energy was off the charts. Coyle is one of the top 2024 forwards in the State and she’s been consistent for the past few seasons. Coyle brought the energy and also the game. She has the ability to catch any pass in her vicinity and make a positive play out of nothing. Coyle made some great cuts to the basket and also was a playmaker out on the courts getting the ball to some of her forward counterparts down on the blocks. Coyle also showed she could handle the ball and got her team out of trouble as a result. Coyle even brough the ball up the court a few times and initiated offense.
Kiara Williams Kiara Williams 6'1" | PF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL really played well and solidified herself as one of the top power forwards in the 2024 class. Williams’s great footwork, hands and coordination all work together and her play in the paint is like poetry in motion. I watched her play while talking to a former College baller. We both agreed that Williams can get off any shot she wants to in the paint. She has the nice fade away the step through, head fake, the pullup jumper in the midrange etc. The showed the whole package at Run 4 Roses and walked away with more offers.
Zahariah Jones Zahariah Jones 6'0" | PF Oak Ridge | 2024 State FL was really impressive and exciting to watch. In the semifinals of Run 4 Roses Classic, Jones put in a monster effort. She was really efficient on the long range and mid range shots. Jones was also attacking the paint and getting baskets on the inside. She showed great speed and got buckets in transition as well. Jones was definitely a standout.
Sydney Roundtree Sydney Roundtree 6'0" | PF Bishop Kenny | 2024 State FL had some good moments at Run 4 Roses including a couple of nice middle range jump shots. The elevation she got on her shots is what makes her different. Thats the ability that can’t be taught. Defensively, Roundtree was solid and her ability to guard multiple positions is what also made her standout. She defended on the wings and also in the painted area.
Nia Blocton Nia Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL was also a standout 2024 forward. She was on the list for one of the top 2024 defensive players, but she is also one of the top 2024 forwards in the State of Florida. At Run 4 Roses, Blocton scored in the paint, got to the freethrow line, and was at the top of her game in the rebound department (offense and defense). Blocton’s help side defense was elite and stood out above a lot of players in Louisville last week. She had at least 30 blocked shots.
