Here are some Class 6A Seniors to be on the lookout for this upcoming winter. Abethany James Abethany James 5’7″ | PG Sparkman | 2024 State AL is a gifted scorer with elite level anticipation. James is a blur in transition, and near impossible to keep out of the paint. James has a gifted array of footwork and touch around the rim. James does a phenomenal job of using her anticipation skills to get steals on defense. Once on the break James excels at creating for both herself and her teammates.
Amiya Redus Amiya Redus 5’9″ | SG Hazel Green | 2024 State AL is a high level defender with high basketball IQ. Redus can guard multiple positions, and really give her opponent issues. Redus is a more than capable shooter from the perimeter, and almost always makes the correct play. Offensively, she is a very efficient player.
Kaelyn Gowdy Kaelyn Gowdy 5’3″ | SG Minor | 2024 State AL is a quick and shifty guard who can flat out put the ball in the basket. Gowdy is extremely challenging to stay in front of, and is also strong. That combination allows her to get to almost wherever she wants on the court. Add that to Gowdy’s shot making ability and you have an elite bucket getter.
Highlights
Alecia Mosley Alecia Mosley 5’6″ | CG McAdory | 2024 State AL is a high level 2-way guard that can really impact the game. Offensively, Mosley can really shoot it. Mosely is exceptional at setting up her teammates for good looks. Mosley is extremely comfortable both on and off the ball which makes her challenging to defend. Defensively, Mosley does a good job of jumping passing lanes and forcing turnovers.
