Bennon looks to be the top senior in Class 1A here in the Palmetto State according to our rankings here at Prep Girls Hoops. Bennon is already off the board for next season as she already has made an early pledge to Lenor-Rhyne (NC) – NCAA D2 school.
Alexandria is now at Christ Church in the Upstate where she averaged 17.1 ppg, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.7 assists a season ago for the Lady Cavaliers.
Highlights
Mickell has been a staple in the post for the Lady Tigers since her 7th grade season. She recently took a visit to Claflin University (SC) – NCAA D2 and already has an offer from Clark University (GA) – NCAA D2 on the table. Mickell will play her 6th year of varsity basketball at this small school located down in Allendale County near the Georgia border.
Trinity is a bruiser in the paint and really likes to play that way down low. She’s an absolute physical presence all game long and she will make sure she uses her 5 fouls every game night. Trinity averaged 17.3 ppg, 11.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks last season for the Lady Tigers.
Geathers-Washington is back for the Lady Bears and Head Coach Logan Kingsbury this season. Jerchel is in her 3rd year with the program after playing her freshman season at nearby Georgetown HS. She averaged 14.3 ppg and 11.8 rebounds for the Lady Bears (21-7) last season. Jerchel recorded 15 double-doubles for her efforts last year.
Geathers-Washington does track and field in the spring. She has very nimble footwork around the paint area and does a nice job of keeping the ball up high after claiming it off the glass.
Highlights
Ford is an aggressive playing guard for the Lady Wild Gators. Jaleya plays extremely active in the passing lanes with her quick hands. She shows to be a capable shooter at times from the mid-range.
Jaleya really looks to tuhe corner from the top of the key and race by defenders. Ford averaged 16.1 ppg, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 steals last season. The Lady Wild Gators finished the year at (22-3). Jaleya has been on the varsity squad since her 7th grade year. She currently has scored 1,052 career points, grabbed 488 rebounds and recorded 265 steals.
Lake View HS will need to get by the likes of Military Magnet, Carvers Bay HS and Latta HS this coming season in the Lower State.
Smoak will be wearing a new uniform at Hampton County HS this season. She currently attended Estill HS (now closed) after merging with Wade Hampton HS to form the new Hampton County HS.
Kadejah is a bucket getter who really seems to stay off the grid in the summertime. Smoak piled up numbers over the past few years at now the closed Estill HS. She went over 1,000 career points for the Lady Gators.
Page and Ford make a nice 1-2 combo for the Lady Wild Gators over in Dillon County. Gwendasia will certainly be a Stock-Riser in the next set of Updated Rankings later this fall. Page can do a little bit of everything on the floor at times. She does a nice job of jumping the passing lanes, slashing and attacking to the basket and scoring off the dribble.
Gwendasia is certainly a jack of all trades at times on the floor with her versatility. She enters her senior season with 1,003 career points in 105 games. She has been on the varsity team since her 7th grade year. Page is a stat-sheet stuffer with her play. She has recorded 779 rebounds, 321 steals and 295 blocks in her career for the Lady Wild Gators.
Baker is a transfer to Lewisville HS this coming season. Trinity made the move over from Legion Collegiate Academy in Rock Hill. Look for Trinity and her responsibilities to grow this season for the Lady Lions.
Baker played this Grassroots Season with the SC Eagles and Head Coach Corey Bailey.
