Edwards enters her senior season with 3,316 career points and a Class 3A State Championship from last season. Joyce is the hands down #1 player in the Palmetto State ever since her freshman season.
Edwards put-up old-school Play Station numbers last season for the Lady Bulldogs. She averaged 28.5 ppg, 13.6 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.9 assists. Keep in mind she was taken out of games early in region play in particular in lopsided wins. Joyce has played in 131 career games for the Lady Bulldogs entering her senior season.
Edwards plays 3 varsity levels at the highest level. She excels on the volleyball court and soccer field also for the Lady Bulldogs. Joyce has recorded 1,495 rebounds, 526 steals and 407 assists in her career.
Where will Edwards after her playing days at Camden? Only time will tell but, right now she’s focused on bringing home another Class 3A State Championship to Camden HS.
Highlights
McGowens will play in the Big South Conference after high school at UNC-Asheville. Raina enters her senior season with 127 games played in a Lady Hurricanes uniform. She has scored 1,623 points, grabbed 533 rebounds and dished out 339 assists along the way.
Raina averaged 18.6 ppg, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.6 steals last season on the Class 3A State Runner-up team. McGowens brings the ability to play both guard spots to the floor along with good leadership skills.
Could we see a rematch in Florence come next March with Camden HS vs Wren HS again?
Highlights
Randolph played in her 3rd straight state championship last season. Olivia previously won 2 state championships at nearby Westside HS in Anderson before moving over to Wren HS last fall.
Olivia plays down in the post and is best suited as a defender down low. Randolph averaged 4.8 ppg, 5.8 rebounds and 2 blocks last season for the Lady Hurricanes (26-6). Randolph picked up an offer from NCAA D1 school UMBC this summer.
Henderson plays in the very Northern part of the Palmetto State up at Blue Ridge HS. Zikira averaged 17.1 ppg 4.5 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.8 assists last season. She enters her senior season with 965 career points.
Henderson grabbed an offer from Brevard College (NC) back in the spring. She ran on a very talented Grassroots team with Upward Stars and Head Coach RJ Booker. Zikira isn’t flashy with her game at all but she’s extremely effective. She understands on how to play and make shots and quality passes along the way.
Carter is a WINNER on the floor for the Lady Bulldogs. She guided the way last season from out top for the Lady Bulldogs who finished at (29-2) on the season and with a Class 3A State Championship. She enters her season with 109 career games played at the varsity level.
Zyasia is the catalyst that keeps things going in the right direction for her squad. She attacks the gaps and penetrates and kicks to open teammates along the way. Carter plays the game with a lot of savviness from the point guard position. She can make open shots on the floor when given the opportunity. She really understands on how to run a team from the lead guard position.
Carter averaged 7 ppg, 3.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals last season. She enters her senior season with 787 career points.
