SubscribeI was able to catch up with Coach Hovermale for a recap of his teams AAU Season. “ Michigan Cobras 2026 Gold Team: 18-12 record in eight total tournaments (3-1 at Run 4 the Roses). We were able to come together and compete versus the top teams this year with a high level schedule. We had 8 players all from Lenawee County on the team. The highlight of the season was going 3-1 at the Run 4 the Roses Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.” – Coach Hovermale
Here is what Coach Hovermale had to say about his players.
Kar showed great improvement this past year. Her pace of play and finishing ability around the rim was a huge leap of growth. She is a great on ball defender who can make other guards uncomfortable. Kar is one of the hardest workers I know and is always asking to get in the gym for extra reps. Already known as a knockdown shooter from 3, adding finishing and mid range will be a continued work to take her game to the next level. – Coach Hovermale

Highlights
Maddy is one of the most underrated players in the state of Michigan. at 5’10” with great length and athletic ability, she is a mismatch on both ends of the floor. Maddy had 10 steals in a game this season which shows her great anticipation and length. She is just starting to find her offensive abilities and it is going to be scary when she becomes more consistent shooting the ball. Maddy went from last year averaging 3 PPG to just under 10 PPG. The best is yet to come for Maddy! – Coach Hovermale

She rebounds at a high level and is starting to gain more confidence in the post with finishing around the rim. She has a very bright future in the game of basketball. I look forward to seeing Brynn have a great freshman season at LCS! – Coach Hovermale
