Ella Giles Ella Giles 5'7" | CG Huntington | 2025 State WV , Huntington, CG, 5-7, Jr. – Giles can combo guard with the best of them. She may be stronger at shooting guard, but she’s not afraid to bring the ball up the court and facilitate on offense. The best thing I love about Giles is her fearlessness. She may have suffered an injury that kept her out of Huntington’s winter season, but she’s come back strong with the Thunder. Blessed with a superb attitude and great basketball IQ, Giles ferociously attacked the AAU court. Over and over and over again, her state championship attitude and love for the big time shined brightest. Giles has so much in her repertoire. She’s an attacker, 3-point shooter, and tough defender.
Taysia Gray Taysia Gray 5'3" Oak Hill | 2025 WV , Oak Hill, PG, 5-3, Jr. – Gray spells a hard-charging, hard-attacking guard, who won’t back down from any challenge. Everything about her is all-go, all-the-time. Quick off the dribble, she has no problem using her body as she drives down the lane to get a quick shot. She keeps her center of gravity as she uses her chest to bump opponents for a bit of space. Defenses rarely have time to collapse on her as she’s there in a jiffy. If they do collapse on her, that is okay. She’s great at keeping her eyes open for her teammates and getting her teammates solid shots. Gray will surprise many people in the Mountain Sate this season.
Josie Cross Josie Cross 5'10" | PF Woodrow Wilson | 2025 State WV , Woodrow Wilson, PF, 5-11, Jr. – Cross (at left) continues to add more to her game, which already featured a fantastic rebounding ability. After the summer, she now has several other tricks up her sleeve as well. Cross walks into her senior season the owner of a consistent 3-point shot, which gives her the ability to be someone who can stretch the floor for her teammates. She pops out quickly and gets her shot of quick enough that defenses can’t sag off on her. Of course, they can’t ignore her for her rebounding prowess, either. Even after her shot goes in the air, she does a good job of getting in position for the board. She’s a hard-working kid on both ends of the floor, who will take center stage for the Flying Eagles during the upcoming school year.
Avery Lilly Avery Lilly 5'7" | SG Summers County | 2025 State WV , Summers County, SG, 5-7, Jr. – Lilly is a winner and team player. Plain and simple. Any team she is on, she will make sure they understand the No. 1 thing she wants to do is win, no matter what. She’ll do whatever she has to do on the court to secure a W. Opponents can throw anything they want at her, and she keeps coming. Strong. Stronger, still. And Strongest. There’s no stopping this young lady. One of the strongest parts of her game is her 3-point shot, she makes them at a high rate. But, coaches won’t need to worry about getting her open, she’s moves well without the ball and has a habit of slipping away from her defender. On defense, she’s quick as lightning in the passing lanes. Her fast hands have helped her pile up heaps of steals and deflections.
