They’ve shown throughout summer by playing in some tough tournaments against other varsity ready prospects. These players put on display their ability to shoot with extended range. In addition, they make good reads offensively by knowing when to drive and kick vs. drive and score. Lastly, these players have shown they can play on both sides of the floor offensively and defensively.
At the Summer Finale with All Iowa Attack in Des Moines, Tylee showed tremendous skill with her floor vision. In addition, her passing ability and decision making was her niche. She knows what type of pass to make to lead her teammates to the basket. Tylee Weite Tylee Weite 5’10” | SG Des Moines – Valley | 2027 State IA stretches the floor because she’s a consistent shooter behind the 3 point line. Furthermore, she causes the defense to close out hard which opens up her driving lanes. Lastly, when she drives to the basket she has a nice touch on her floater. Valley High School will be adding a great player to their program!
Romey Croatt
Romey Croatt
Romey Croatt is a good combo guard with great ball handling skills. She put her ball handling on display at the Summer Finale with All Iowa Attack . Pushing the ball in transition and creating easy offense for herself and teammates. Romey doesn’t allow the defense to dictate where she wants to go. She has a nice crossover and her ability to shoot makes her harder to defend. Going into her Freshman year at Waukee Northwest, she’s someone who will make an immediate impact on the varsity level.
KeaOnna Worley KeaOnna Worley 5’4″ | PG Prairie | 2027 State IA is a PG who’s been playing up a grade level during the spring/summer season for years. She plays at a good pace with her ball handling and changes speed & direction effectively. Knowing that most high schools will show zone defense, her ability to shoot and pass in gaps for open teammates. Against man to man defense, she plays shifty and forces held defense to help early. Defensively she wants to pick up her matchup in the full court. KeaOnna is a player who’s ready for varsity basketball as a freshman. She had a good spring/Summer season with Martin Brothers .
Highlights
Days is the type of player coaches love having on their team. She defends the best players and relies on her defense to create easy offense. Being able to jump into gaps on defense and getting deflections is what you need at the varsity level. Johnston High School is getting a player who works harder on defense than offense. Daya Phillips Daya Phillips 5’10” | CG Johnston | 2027 State IA had a great spring/summer season with the Iowa Battlers . Her defense was the most consistent and offensively she became a better shooter.
