Emily is a skilled guard who can handle the ball well enough to run a team. She always seemed to have her head up when coming up the floor. I listed high IQ in my notes which isn’t usually something I’d say after one-half of watching a player. She had some nice change-of-pace drives and made great decisions. High IQ – In a nutshell.

Having a textbook pull-up jumper before you start your freshman year is usually not something you see. She did it twice in one game. Made one. It can always get better but not a bad start. She also can shoot it well with or without the dribble.
Lisa is a skilled player who can play anywhere on the floor. She did a lot of the point guard duties when I was watching. She can get to the basket, mostly going left. When she does she can also finish with the off-hand. She took rebounds and went coast to coast. I’m sure she will grow a bit more, her brother Jaylin Stewart was 6’7 at the least. Either way, she has the skills and pedigree to be a great player.

Although this was the only team I didn’t watch, I had eyes on them. The report was that she was the best player they saw at the showcase. “Attacks the basket like no other. Great teammate. Closes out well on D. ” That is what those eyes said. Also not only closing out but locking down. I will review this team and others before I make an all-tournament team.

Capri has some shake to her step. She finished a couple of drives with some nice moves, and often it started off of a crossover or other ball handling skills. She has great shooting form and should turn into a big time threat to beat you from long distance. She showed her ball handling skills not only losing the defense but as a capable primary handler.
