Basketball players certainly know how important their feet are. So on National I Love My Feet Day, we’re going to look at some players that have excellent footwork on the basketball court.
Marshall is a prime example of great footwork. Let’s talk about her defensive footwork in particular. Marshall’s ability to use her feet to beat offensive players to spots on the floor helps make her an elite full court defender. Marshall’s feet will cause headaches for opposing offenses all high school season.
Kyles really utilizes her quick feet. The way her feet carry her when she has the ball in her hands is really fun to watch. Kyles can move in any direction at any time with the ball. This creates openings and opportunities for herself and for her teammates. She’s fast and dangerous with the ball.
Titus can carry her game a long ways with her footwork. It’s like she puts on magic shoes that give her feet endless energy on both ends of the floor. Titus really gets after it every second that she’s in the game and that really makes her a highly influential player.
Highlights
Ushery put her fast feet on display this summer, specifically on the PGH Circuit at 2k23. She brought speed and control with her feet as a lead guard. Ushery’s fast feet allowed her to gain speed in a flash and change direction with relative ease. She’ll have a huge advantage with her feet and footwork this coming high school season.
Rekowski has an instant advantage with her footwork. I really believe that her defensive footwork in the paint is elite in the state. She moves side to side in the lane with ease and can cover the space effectively. This helps make Rekowski a very valuable help defender.
