Players from across the country came to show off their skills learning from coaches in the area and then being able to scrimmage against one another applying what they learned. We were able to see some of the top athletes in the classes of 2027-2032! Let’s continue the coverage with some of the standouts from Indiana as this state was certainly well represented at the event, and we have one athlete from Wisconsin!
Alexis Shelsta – 5’7” 2027 (Wisconsin)
Shelsta had a nice shot from deep hustling up the court in transition and scoring three from beyond the arc. She was aggressive getting the rebound, and she did a nice job finding the outlet pass to get the ball pushed up the court.
Mollie Combs – 5’8” 2027
Combs had a nice play getting her hands in the way deflecting the pass leading to a turnover for her team. This was consistent throughout her scrimmages as she was grabbing steals and pushing them up the court for solo fast breaks. She knew how to slide into help defense, too, preventing her opponents from getting some points.
Carly Holmes – 5’8” 2027
Holmes had some nice range on her shot being able to pull it from anywhere around the perimeter. She also got inside for some work in the post using her body and power dribbles to score in the paint.
Haven Flagle – 5’6” 2028
Flagle had some nice fakes to get around defenders and drive baseline to the hoop not backing down from contact. She had a nice pass down low to her teammate cutting to the hoop hitting her in stride for the bucket. She was constantly swinging the ball getting to the hoop with aggressive drives, and she battled for rebounds.
Eevey Tolliver – 5’6” 2028
Tolliver had a nice take handling the ball coast to coast finishing at the rim for two points while her defenders struggled to slow her down. She did it all getting inside for rebounds and even offensive boards battling through contact for some points. She hustled down the court on offense being ready for the pass as she flashed in the paint. On defense, she was tough grabbing steals playing nice “on ball” defense and jumping in front of passing lanes.
Makenna Taylor – 5’4” 2028
Taylor showed a lot of patience handling the ball letting her teammates get settled on offense. She saw the floor well knowing when to attack the gaps getting to the basket for some points. She had a nice fast break where she filling the outside lane finding her open teammate cutting to the hoop and hit her in stride to make a nice play. She had a tough old fashioned three point play through contact.
Brooklyn Crim – 5’8” 2028
Crim had a nice move attacking the baseline, stopping quickly to spin and put up her shot for two points. Her post moves were fun to watch using power dribbles and spin moves to get to the rim.
