Let’s take a look at some of the standouts from Virginia and Kentucky.
Brookelyn Duckwyler- 5’5” 2027 (Kentucky)
Duckwyler had a nice take tucking the ball in protecting it as she drove to the hoop finishing at the basket. She did a nice job getting defensive rebounds and finding her open teammates up the court for a fast break. She had a tough take to the hoop putting up a floater in the paint. Her offensive rebounding was difficult to defend using power dribbles to readjust and score some points. She stripped the ball on a press scoring easily with her left hand on a tough take to the basket.
Jordyn Davis – 5’7” 2028 (Virginia)
Davis was shifty with the ball using crossovers to get to the basket. She did a nice job getting inside for rebounds on defense making sure to find a player to box out in order to get her possession. She stood her ground in the paint blocking shots as players tried to drive to get some points.
Kai Jones – 5’6” 2028 (Virginia)
Jones had a nice take finishing with her left hand coming off the cut to the basket. She didn’t back down from contact making her points count from the free throw line. She attacked right off a long rebound on offense getting to the basket and banking it in for some points. She followed that up with a steal and spin move to score on a fast break.
Ava Simpson – 5’11” 2028 (Kentucky)
Simpson used her height in the paint to block shots, and she was consistently in the right spot at the right times. She has some range with the ball, too, being a threat on multiple levels. She ran the floor well being ready for a transition three pointer when she wasn’t crashing the boards to get the offensive rebound.
Emerson Dowell Emerson Dowell 5'5" | SG Ryle | 2029 KY – 5’3” 2029 (Kentucky)
Dowell hustled back on defense deflecting the dribble and coming up with the steal. She had a nice crossover to get by her opponents and get the ball to a teammate pushing it up the court.
