Dowell is a freshman with a very bright future. she shined in all aspects of the game for Ryle. Offensively she scored the ball in multitude of ways. She is a very good shooter from deep and the midrange. Dowell is a sneaky athletic kid with very quick hands and feet. She caused problems in both games on defense with on the ball pressure and steals as well as tipping or intercepting passes with her reach in the passing lane. Dowell turned thet offense into defense and scored on the break several times. Dowell plays with a very high IQ and will continue to get better with age and experience. She is a very good ’29 prospect with Division One potential.

Ryle is loaded up (as always) and Emerson is coming off an 8th grade season where she was third on the team in scoring at 6.4 PPG. On Saturday at camp, Dowell showed she can score at every level and is capable of creating open looks for shooters on the perimeter. She’s a really good prospect and should have a long and very successful career at Ryle.

Seeing the level of talent in the 2028-2029 class makes me very excited for the future of Kentucky girls basketball. Emerson Dowell Emerson Dowell Emerson Dowell 5'10" | SG/PG Ryle | 2029 State KY is another player for Next Level 2029 that made a name for herself during the live period weekend. She is a terrific ball handler, that is deceptively quick, crafty, and very good at changing directions. Emerson also gets after it on the defensive end and knows how to play passing lanes to come up with steals, and turn defense into offense.
