Emerson has a pure stroke from deep with great mechanics and shoots with accuracy. In my most recent viewing, her energy and the way she got after it on defense really stood out. Her ability to shoot the three-ball and defend gives her the potential to be a solid 3-and-D prospect. Emerson was the Lady Raiders’ third-leading scorer as a freshman, and her numbers could see a nice jump this season after losing last year’s leading scorer to graduation. (Featured Image)

Dowell is a freshman with a very bright future. she shined in all aspects of the game for Ryle. Offensively she scored the ball in multitude of ways. She is a very good shooter from deep and the midrange. Dowell is a sneaky athletic kid with very quick hands and feet. She caused problems in both games on defense with on the ball pressure and steals as well as tipping or intercepting passes with her reach in the passing lane. Dowell turned thet offense into defense and scored on the break several times. Dowell plays with a very high IQ and will continue to get better with age and experience. She is a very good ’29 prospect with Division One potential.

Ryle is loaded up (as always) and Emerson is coming off an 8th grade season where she was third on the team in scoring at 6.4 PPG. On Saturday at camp, Dowell showed she can score at every level and is capable of creating open looks for shooters on the perimeter. She’s a really good prospect and should have a long and very successful career at Ryle.

Emerson torched the nets at the Freshman Showcase, a microwave shooter from deep who can heat up quickly with a perfect form and a repeatable release. She also runs the floor hard in transition. Emerson is poised for a breakout freshman season for Ryle.
