Jada is a shoooooter! — this was the first time that I watched her play but it was clear that she was in her element every time she shot the ball! Graves can score at will but most impressive was that her game was never forced – she did not take unneccesary shots or attempt “fancy” shots. She was one of the fastest guards but did not lose control of the ball or make senseless mistakes. Jada made solid/accurate passes to her teammates and was not intimidated when getting in the mix for rebounds. Jada finished the 8:55 PM game with 20 points!
Katelin Long
Katelin Long
Katelin displayed a solid all around game. She has a very quick release when shooting from deep and her accuracy from beyond the arc was remarkable. Katelin got the job done from the outside but she did an excellent job of attacking the basket, as well. She is a strong rebounder & there were a number of possessions where her multiple attempts at securing the ball led to points for the Twin Lake Stars.
Elizabeth Oliver
Elizabeth Oliver
Elizabeth is a skilled player who plays both ends of the floor at 100%. — there was a particular series where Oliver made a strong move to the basket, got the “and one”, converted on the free throw, hustled back on defense, got the steal and assisted on an easy two for her teammate! Elizabeth played hard until the end regardless of the score & her relentless effort is what seperated her from the other 9 players on the court.
Heaven is the presence inside the paint that all teams need! — she is physical, she is strong, she positions herself for easy entry passes from her guards, she rebounds on both ends & she runs the floor exceptionally well. Heaven has a soft touch and finishes well around the rim. She did a great job protecting the paint and her tough defense/presence inside made it difficult for her opponent to establish positioning.
