I love UPSIDE in players, meaning they haven’t PANNED OUT or reached their full potential so hopefully, I can keep an eye on their progression as all are from the 2026 class.
Here is a link to where I’ll be, I’ve simplified it yet I will still get asked numerous times “Where you at”
The PGH Showcases, Freshman on September 9th, and Top 250 Expo on October 8th will give me a chance to see other aspects of your game, it’s always good to see players in different settings. Please use COLSONPGH2023 for discount
Victoria Longstreet-5’11 (20245 HG Elite Burton)
Longstreet is a shade under “the magic number” which is 6’0 if you haven’t heard me say that but she also gets something else you probably haven’t heard from me and that’s the #THROW-BACK hashtag for her “hands and footwork” around the basket. I can’t emphasize how important some little things can turn out to be big and what was once used a lot, isn’t used enough in this era. She uses her body well inside the paint and does a good job of scoring around the basket. She also defended and ran the floor on both ends and has a good upside
Meron Legesse-6’1 (2026 THS 15U)
Legesse stands above “the magic number” and that alone will have her many next-level programs shortlists. Her progression will determine which level of the next level she lands yet I enjoyed watching her perform in the paint as she caught the ball and kept it high to score around the basket. She also kept it high after rebounding, which she does on both ends, and understood how to get the outlet going. She ran the floor, she did a good job with her interior defense and she even altered some shots when challenged
Anayah Nunez-Nicholas- 5’9 (2026 THS 15U)
Nunez-Nicholas falls into another category I love to evaluate and that would be “she plays taller than her listed height”. She has good timing but here’s something very important, she understands positioning, and that helped her outrebound taller players. Her lateral movement on defense was nice as she showed she could good her man in and outside the paint but she also showed she could score around the basket as well as take the defender off the dribble from multiple spots so her using her athleticism on both ends was nice
Khalia Moore Khalia Moore 6'0" | SF Stillwater | 2026 State OK -6’0 ( Team HQ 2025)
Moore kept showing me MORE and when I write UPS, that kind of leaves things embedded in my petabyte of memory so her elevating over defenders to go along with being “long and athletic” which in case you didn’t know is the base gives her numerous options already. Her intangibles are she defends inside the paint as well as on the ball, baseline to baseline yet she also did a good job of not only playing the passing lane but handling the ball afterward. She saw the floor yet she also showed she could attack the basket and score so a good upside is an understatement
Audrey Mitchell Audrey Mitchell 6'3" | PF Denton Guyer | 2026 TX -6’3 (Lee Green Basketball)
Mitchell has so many things going for her because she’s long and athletic and way above the magic number yet that #THROW-BACK gets dropped for her “hands and footwork” as she falls into that scary upside category. She’s also strong and finished after contact but watching her go after the ball off the rim was very nice, and so was her timing as she blocked, altered, and (or) deflected shots in the allocated time I was on her court which was around a half. Her defense was also solid as she did a good job both in and outside the paint
Bralyah Miller-5’10 ( Texas Elite East Texas Spurs)
Miller was another long and athletic player that grabbed my attention after watching her grab the ball out of the air numerous times. She rebounded with ease on both ends and handled the ball in the open court but watching her go coast to coast was nice, and so was her dropping the mid to long-range jumper. Her interior defense was solid but she showed she could also do it baseline to baseline, on the ball. She saw the floor and played the passing lane yet watching her operate around the basket and score was a big plus
