Aspyn Schlechts – Enderlin – 5’6 – Aspyn is a sniper from deep! A player that can score at all 3 levels with a quick burst for her first step but would honestly rather try her chances from beyond the arc. A transitional threat that if left unchecked will give you buckets in a hurry. Last year she averaged nearly 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists a game. A bit of an undersized guard but has good lateral quickness for keeping Infront of faster guards. She’ll be a game changer this year for the Eagles for sure as they look to improve upon a recently above average season.
Kennley Davis – St. John – 5’5 – St. Johns has produced some really good talent within the recent years and they look to improve upon that with this quick decisive player. Kennley might look like an undersized guard, but man does she play big. She’s fierce, aggressive and a defensive pest. On the year she averaged 7 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals a game. A fast twitch guard that can hit form outside if left open. Her role is sure to increase this year for the Woodchucks as they play fast and hit hard in the scoring column.
Aleah Pokrzywinski – Drayton Valley-Edinburg – 5’5 – Besides for the scoring column Aleah really rounded out her game this past season. She averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals a game. A very productive player that can truly get the job done in many facets on the court. She shot 33% from the field this past season and is sure to be in for a lot more minutes this coming year as Drayton is no stranger to tough competition in their region. Aleah could be a dark horse player for this squad that could surprise a lot of coaches this year.
Ashley Tabarez – Westhope/Newburg – 5’4 – If she’s anything like her sister Ashley could be the new go to scorer that Westhope is in need of with the graduation of Ellie Braaten. She’s quick, agile and can pack a punch. If she’s been working on that jumper this offseason, we could see a breakout player in the making. This past season Ashley averaged nearly 5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1 steal a game. Her production is sure to increase this coming season as she got really solid minutes last year playing varsity for the first time. I’m excited to see what this player has in store for us this coming year.
Kassidy Jackson – Oakes – 5’6 – Quick and aggressive. When Kassidy stepped on the court this past year she was coming off with a bucket. A solid defender that can really pressure experience guards into a steal. According to MaxPreps she averaged a little over 3 minutes a game averaging 3.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game. Based on that production her per 32 would be through the roof! I think this player has a lot of upside and potential to her game. With the change in conferences within Class B I think we could be in for a real treat this year especially with Oakes slicing the sweeter portion of the pie in region 1.
