I saw a variety of age group, mostly focusing on the older players, but I will be breaking down some of the top players in each of the four age groups I saw.
Enjoy the next week as I begin today with the 17U point guards who shined on the circuit. I will have plenty of recap stories this week in many age groups so make sure you check back to see if you are featured!!
Brooklyn Sinclair, Always 100 United
She is a very solid point guard who can score from the perimeter, but also has the ability to score around the rim. She can put the ball on the floor and finish well. In the transition game, Brooklyn showed she can push the ball quickly and lead the break like a true leader. Impressed with her defensive game also, as she can make the big plays for her team.
Alyssa Quinones, NWI Select
The first thing I saw her from her game is her ability to see the floor with very solid court vision. Making the pass on the move is not a problem for Alyssa as she can thread it in to her teammate for the score. She is a solid floor general and has good qualities of a proficient point guard.
Aleeziah Anderson, Lifeline Elite
Her athleticism pops out at you and she has incredible body control when she gets to the rim. Smooth operator on offense, super aggressive on defense with active hands and showed the ability to turn mistakes into points for her team.
Bradie Schlabs, NOCO Triple Threat
Bradie moves so well with the ball and has a consistent shot off the dribble. As the point guard, she does a really solid job facilitating the offense and displays very good court vision, able to read things and get the ball into the right hands for the best scoring option.
Micah Colson, JSI Elite
I got to see her in Nashville, and she displayed a lot of good qualities as a point guard and leader. She has good court presence and awareness of what is going on around her. She can score from the perimeter and is really a solid guard who can also put the ball on the floor and score.
She is a point guard who can hurt you in a variety of ways. She has an excellent perimeter game and can step out and shoot off the pass. She is a long and athletic guard, a productive rebounder and knows where to be on the floor. She is a good vocal leader and provides solid leadership for her teammates.
I heard the other day she was injured this summer and that is a big loss for Beavercreek as Abbey played well at the Buckeye Breakdown in May. I love this kids court sense and she has a good basketball IQ. Can does a great job running the offense and can distribute well. Can score in a variety of ways and showed good control getting to the rim.
Elly Lewis Elly Lewis 5'5" | PG Fairfield Union | 2024 OH , Buckeye State Blast PHX
She’s got game!! First of all, she can light you up from the perimeter with excellent range and she ins’t afraid to let it fly. She has plenty of confidence. She has a nose for the ball and isn’t afraid to get after the play. Runs the floor well and handles the ball under pressure.
Maggie Lewandowski Maggie Lewandowski 5'7" | CG Oswego East | 2025 State IL , Midwest Elitę NIKE
One word to describe her is electric! She has such good quickness and can get to the rim and finish, or stop and hit the midrange shot. Se does have deep range. Her on-ball defense is stellar, able to see the court and distribute with her court vision. Love her game!! (feature photo above)
