All four of the PGH Kentucky scouts/writers were in the building and we all walked away very impressed by this class. There’s bound to be players mentioned in multiple articles by different scouts, but every player deserves to have something written about them after their showing on Saturday. When I was trying to decide how to break down these articles, I ultimately decided to turn the notes I had for each player at the event into a series of articles. I’m putting them out numerically based on jersey number, so below you will find the notes I had down for #210-215.
Kenzie Williams
5’5 | Guard | Southwestern HS
#210 – Love how she’s aggressive and fearless on her drives. Good quickness and can get her hands on the ball defensively. Consistently made good passes. Played hard.
5’5 | Guard | Raceland HS
#211 – Applied good pressure defensively and wasn’t giving up anything easy. Made a variety of good moves with the ball. Has a nice shot and doesn’t let a couple of misses effect her. If she gets hot from deep, you’re in trouble. Plays fearless and plays very hard. Solid handles allow her to handle pressure well.
Harper Hurt
5’5 | Guard | Metcalfe County
#212 – Really good shooter who you have to locate on every possession. Plays with good speed. Consistently made great passes off the dribble. Followed shots and got some good offensive rebounds. Does a lot of little things and plays hard.
5’5 | Guard | Great Crossing HS | ETA Thunder
#213 – Quick and attacked the gaps very well. Used her body so well to keep defenders away from the ball. Made good decisions in transition. Great defender. Got into the passing lanes defensively. Really strong 3 level scoring threat with shifty handles. Really stood out in each game I saw.
Kenzlee Terry
5’5 | Guard | Marshall County HS | KEM
#214 – Lefty who had some really tough finishes around the basket. Tough defensive assignment because of her ability to score off the bounce or knock down outside shots with good range. Did a great job drawing help defense and kicking to the open player. Looked very comfortable handling the ball.
Micah Cannoy
5’5 | Guard | Breathitt County HS | Indiana Flight
#215 – Can get shot off quickly and with good range. Knockdown shooter. Was the kind of player that made me feel like the ball was going in the basket every time she pulled up. Caught ready to fire and was solid in all other areas as well.
