As I’ve stated before, the future is bright for Oklahoma Grils High School Basketball and I am so excited to be just a tiny part of it. Thank you also to all of the coaches who subscribe to Prep Girls Hoops and who help these athletes make their dreams come true. We need more college students in the world and this is my tiny way of helping. So, heeeeeere we go!
Ok, I know I said we had a lot of youngsters, but first let’s start with a senior… and a champion. Gracee is listed as a four, which is no doubt due to her propensity to swat shots like Mutombo inside, but she plays offense much more like a three. She is absolutely deadly from behind the arc. Her highlight reel features gorgeous shot after gorgeous shot. That alone would be enough to merit some recruitment, but then you see her heart, hustle, and effort, and you realize that Gracee is much more than “just a shooter.” A huge part of a State Championship team, Gracee is a leader and definite college prospect who is already seeing the offers come in. You’re not going to want to miss your chance, coaches.

Mariah Connally
Mariah Connally
It’s interesting… when you don’t go out and watch middle school basketball much because you’re so busy with high school basketball (or you took time off to finish your degree), when you come back there’s a whole new crop of players. Then you turn the video on of a player and immediately ask yourself, “but seriously, how did I not know about her already?” She’s going to be near the top of the list when it comes out and it’s obvious from the first tiny bit of footage that you see. Some kids just have it. Mariah is a baller. You don’t see kids that age with a floater and skills beyond her years. She’s got good coaching and appears to be a gym rat, so my excitement level is through the roof for where she could end up. Buy your Mariah Connally stock now. She’s about to skyrocket!
The first thing that jumps out at you from Kaylee’s video is her very high basketball IQ. Not many 2027’s understand things like spacing or settling into the weak spot in the zone like she does. She is advanced offensively and knows when and how to get her shot off. Speaking of her shot… it’s a pretty one. She hustles constantly up and down the court and does so many little things that it can become hard to count. As I’ve said over and over, this 2027 class is starting to seem like one to look out for and Kaylee is going to play a big part in that. Keep an eye on her, coaches.

Kerrington Campbell
Kerrington Campbell
Everything in Kerrington’s videos starts with defense. She is lightning quick and forces turnovers that very, very quickly become points for her team. Listed at 5’6″, her body shape causes me to think that she still has some growing to do. If not, it’s fine. Kerrington will be a very, very long Point Guard. No matter what happens, she is going to be deadly on offense where she can shoot the lights out and is absolutely fearless when it comes to driving the lane. A high-IQ player who is constantly working on her craft, it looks like Kerrington Campbell is already doing everything that she can to make sure her name is near the top of the 2028 list when it comes out!
Jennah Christian
Jennah Christian
Jennah is all over the place on her video… in a very good way. She doesn’t have a position listed on her profile, so I figured I’d watch the video and figure out where she plays. Then you go to her social media and the first thing you see are several posts from teammates thanking her for the awesome passes she delivered to them leading to buckets. I thought, “maybe a point guard?” Then you see video of her shooting or pumping and driving to the hoop, so “maybe a three?” Then she’s there battling for rebounds or swatting shots in the post,”so a power forward/center, I guess?” I decided to go with a Small Forward because she’s a bit of a hybrid who can do it all. Jennah is the new breed of “big.” She moves too well to be “just a big.” She also can shoot it. There is so much to like about her game. Just watch for yourself. You’ll see.
