Once I’ve finished finding as many players as I can on the platform formerly known as Twitter, I’ll be heading over to Instagram and Facebook and Hudl and anywhere else I might be able to find video. So, thanks to Sofia at Prep Network for the new graphic. Let’s jump in!

Christyona definitely has a nose for the ball. That’s the first thing that really stands out on tape. She is a rebounding machine. Once she has it, she isn’t a forward who is immediately searching for an outlet, a guard to kick it to. She can handle it enough that she isn’t a liability with the ball in her hands. I mean, for most of the game she is probably playing the two anyway. She can shoot it from long range and seems to be a double-double machine. I remember another Harland from Stillwater who was pretty dang good and is playing in college right now and I think we probably are about to have another one.
Gabrielle Lee
Gabrielle Lee
You’re not gonna see many 5’5″ players get as much out of their small frame as Gabrielle does. She is a tough as nails player who battles through contact all game long. She has a really pretty, really fluid jump shot that she will take (and almost always make) if you give her the slightest bit of space. She hits it from behind the arc consistently and isn’t afraid to let it go from midrange if you give her an opportunity. If you get careless or lazy with the ball around Gabrielle as a ballhandler, she is going to make your ball hers. Do not slack. She is a hardcharger and does all of the little things that a coach could ask. She is a very, very fun player to watch.
The first thing that really jumps out at you on Emersyn’s tape is her size. She has good height, but she is very well-built, very strong. She has an athletic build, as we say. So, as a scout, the next thing you want to look for is whether she uses it or not…. and yes, she uses it. This kid is loaded with skills. Seeing her in a Swift uniform just makes sense now. She’s on a club team loaded with D-1 talent and it honestly looks like she is trending in that direction. There is so much to love on her tape. Handles, shooting, rebounding, vision, movement off the ball. Now this kid is a big time prospect. Trust me.
Highlights
You wanna talk about a player that can do it all? Just take a look at this video. Tinley shows you in a quick, half-minute video that she brings A LOT to the table. She is a smart player who understands the game and her place in it. She understands help defense. She understands doing the little things that make a difference. She understands how to win. Outside of this video, there is plenty to love, as well. Tinley is a strong, tall, and long player who gets her quick stroke off before the defender can even blink. She fills it up from long range. She looks to be a tremendous all-around player and I can’t wait for high school ball to see her play in-person some more!

Maycee is another player who is, by definition, “undersized.” Then you watch the video and you have to ask yourself, if she is so “small,” why is she racking up the rebounds and the blocks? Well, sometimes the size thing isn’t an issue. In my experience that can be overcome with heart, hustle, and smarts. Maycee seems to have all of those things and more. While the bigs are standing around waiting for the rebound to fall into their hands, Maycee uses her bounce to high point the ball and take it away. While the bigs are shooting flat footed because they’re used to being closer to the rim than anyone else, Maycee jumps up to swat their shots. She runs the point with confidence and poise and, oh by the way, she can shoot it, too. This kid is a baller, plain and simple and she is going to outwork everyone on the court.
