Keelie Kuil Keelie Kuil 5'8" | SG Winner | 2025 State SD – Winner – 5’8 – Starting point guard for this squad will be Kuil. A 5’8 athletically quick guard that isn’t afraid of getting dirty on the court. Kuil has stepped up immensely this past year in being a defensive threat on or off the ball. For the season she averaged 7.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.3 steals… I haven’t even hit my favorite number about Kuil’s game defensively where she averaged 4.3 steals a game! With these Westbrook numbers, it’s a no-brainer to pick Kuil as my starting PG for the Junior team.
Jordene Hunter – Lakota Tech – 5’6 – Shot 45% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc. Jordene is my starting 2 guard for sure! An efficient scorer that has a great sense for the game. Understands how to space and pace the floor and can play at both ends averaging 4 steals a game. Can you imagine a backcourt with Kuil and Jordene? I don’t think you’re getting past half-court… On the year Jordene averaged 15 points, 2.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds a game.
Kaylie Robinson Kaylie Robinson 5'9" | SF James Valley Christian | 2025 State SD – James Valley Christian – 5’9 – Remember when I stated how I wanted my 3 or wing player to play multiple positions? well, this is the player I’m talking about. Robinson though listed as a PG is my pick for the starting 3. A charismatic go-getter of a player that can hoop at multiple positions. On the year Robinson averaged 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3.3 steals. Her length and speed make her a solid help-side defender being able to close gaps quickly and cause major shifts for offensive threats.
Bella Williams – Kadoka – 5’10 – Bella isn’t a traditional 4 but can absolutely stretch out a defense catching fire from beyond the arc. The thing about it… is she only shot 19% from light years away. A number that will surely go up this year but one we have to pay attention to. From the field, Bella was 37% though. For statistical stats, she averaged 14.5 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 1 block a game. If you haven’t been paying attention let me break it down for you. So far 1-4 each player has been hand-picked and averaged more than 3 steals a game. Following along? Bella compliments this play style perfectly for a quick-paced offense that deals with a load of threats to handle on both ends of the court.
Trinity Beitz – Scotland – 5’10 – Beitz makes the Center spot not for her back-to-the-basket game, but her physicality and willingness to get after the ball. Beitz has been playing varsity since the 8th grade and is as physical as they come. She’ll surely average a double-double next year off sheer hustle plays. This year’s stat line read 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 steal a game shooting 33% from the field and 61% from the charity strike.
Physical, aggressive, and quick. This team was assembled to play fast and win fast. Stick around for part 2 as we pick the last 5 players that make the SD Junior Second Team.
