I have been watching Vista Ridge for quite a few years and with the abundance of talent that has come through their pipeline after going undefeated in the district last season, they're probably the early favorites to repeat. Going 26-9 and losing in the second round of the playoffs gave them a taste yet after watching many of the players compete in club basketball, they could make a deep run, and here's why

THE BIG BIG THREE

[player_tooltip player_id='361356' first='Abby' last='Seitz']-5'9 CG (2025)

Seitz is one of the toughest players in Texas and watching her take punishment continuously has me scratching my head at times. Not sure how many charges she took in high school but she was among the leaders among the thousands of players I caught yet even more amazing is her ability to deliver in the clutch. She can drop the long ball with a hand in her face, her midrange is solid and she scores off the dribble, after contact but her "on the ball" defense in the set as well as baseline to baseline helps to create turnovers

[player_tooltip player_id='516306' first='Kianna' last='Wormly']-5'9 SG/SF (2025)

Wormly is one of the most athletic players in the state, that can actually play, and watching her elevate over taller players to score around the basket, putbacks included, yes she rebounds on both ends, is a treat. What's an even bigger treat is watching her be the recipient of alley-oops and trust me, this will catch many defenders off guard because they understand how to set it up. She plays the passing lane and handles the ball afterward to either attack or pass, yes she has good court vision, and her acrobatic finishes after contact are Barnum and Bailey worthy, GOOGLE IT

[player_tooltip player_id='594026' first='Sayler' last='Bourland']-5'7 PG (2024)

Bourland is a heady point guard who can score yet her handling of the ball and seeing the floor, both under pressure are huge. She also does a good job of controlling the tempo as well as directing traffic but on the flip, her defensive pressure is solid, and so is her scoring from outside as well as off the dribble. she even does a good job dishing while attacking

KEY PLAYERS

[player_tooltip player_id='825282' first='Ella' last='Nixon']-6'0 F (2025)

Nixon made several statements over the club the season yet most important was her progression as she showed she could not only rebound on both ends of the court but also score consistently from the midrange. She also attacked the basket to score from the wing, she finished after contact and her defense was consistently tough "on the ball"

[player_tooltip player_id='688245' first='Nadia' last='Adeleke']-5'7 G (2026)

Adeleke has always been explosive off the dribble yet her finishing after contact has gone to a different level. She goes hard on both ends, her pull-up jumper in traffic will create problems, and her defense baseline to baseline as well as in the set will also add fire to this talented squad

[player_tooltip player_id='688280' first='Nadine' last='Adeleke']-5'7 G (2026)

Adeleke has shown her body control after contact is going to be an issue for defenders and watching her set the defender up with the slight HEZ as well as the crossover to attack has improved. She plays the passing lane can score from outside and hits the boards on both ends

I'll catch Vista Ridge in the Sandra Meadows Classic in December
