If you are enjoying this series feel free to go back and look at of my other previous articles covering various classes and players! I plan to continue doing this for a while as we head into the season later this fall!
Jill Gaylard Jill Gaylard 5’4″ | PG Vestavia Hills | 2025 State AL is the type of point guard that any coach or player would want leading their team. Gaylard has a high IQ, is extremely unselfish, and is an extreme competitor with a high motor. Gaylard can and will create for herself, but her strength is doing so for others. Gaylard is a true point guard who sets the tone for her team on both ends of the floor.
Libby Geisler Libby Geisler 5’7″ | SG Mountain Brook | 2025 State AL is a bucket getter. Geisler hasn’t see too many shots that she didn’t like. Geisler is an extremely versatile scorer who can put up buckets in a hurry. Geisler has deep range and is more than capable of attacking and finishing at the rim. Geisler draws so much attention as a scoring threat that it often allows her teammates relatively open looks.
Highlights
Jayde Dempsey Jayde Dempsey 5’6″ | CG McGill-Toole | 2025 State AL is a do it all combo guard. You need her to score? She can do that. You need her to be a playmaker for others? She can do that. You need her to defend at a high level? she can do that as well. Dempsey’s versatility is her best attribute as she is good at so many things out on the floor.
Ava Robinson Ava Robinson 5’5″ | CG Homewood | 2025 State AL is a highly crafty player who can really shoot the rock. Ava is also a capable ball handler which allows her to effectively get to her spots. Robinson has a quick and smooth release from deep. Ava doesn’t need too much space at all to get her shot off, and she often makes defenses pay for leaving her open.
