Courtney had a tremendous day running the PG position for Team 1 Saturday. I really love the way she runs the position as she is such an efficient playmaker that will do what the coach asks of her on the floor. You won’t see her with careless turnovers as she will always take good care of the basketball. Courtney can also play off the ball and coaches can be comfortable using her to help space floor as an effective spot up shooter. There were several moments Saturday where she hit big 3 after big 3. When she gets hot, you must feed her the ball because she can absolutely go off behind that three point line. Courtney is sure to play a big role at Northside Christian as she
Aamori Patterson
Aamori Patterson
Hibriten High School basketball fans should you know they are getting a bonafide star in Lenoir, NC for the next four years. Her commanding presence when she has the ball in her hands allows her to own the PG position and she is a clear leader. I love how vocal she is on the court and she is very patient running the offense. Her above average handles allow her to work through defenders and control the pace of the game. She is a knock-down shooter and will drain the deep ball in the face of defenders. Defensively, Aamori was one of the showcase’s top defenders as she put pressure on opposing PG’s all game long. She is an excellent on ball defender and she can fight through screens with relative ease. Another PG in the loaded 2027 that is sure to have a stellar high school career.
The Lexington, SC native had herself a day Saturday at the showcase. Evie was literally all over the floor and her constant movement can really cause headaches for defenders. She is a quality lead ball handler with an uncanny ability to utilize screens. Pair her with a big that can run the pick and roll or pick and pop and you have something unstoppable. She can penetrate lanes with ease and she has no problem being able to score inside the paint. She can score from multiple levels and she can be very dangerous when you allow her to get going as she will find a way to always make plays. She is truly a fun PG to watch play basketball.

If you didn’t know who Nima Nakamura was before Saturday’s showcase, well, now you know. After a relatively quiet summer, the Cannon PG showed that her name must be mentioned when talking about top guards in the 2027 class. Hina possesses one of the quickest releases I saw at the showcase and she gets such beautiful rotation on the basketball. She is a pure shooter who shoots with confidence and can knock it down from anywhere on the court. I love the way she can play off the ball, floating around the perimeter and squaring up her feet to knock down shots from downtown. She is a willing defender who will play defense as if her life depends on it. She can penetrate passing lanes and does a great job with pass anticipation. I was thoroughly impressed by the talent in which she displayed Saturday and she is bound to be one special player.
