Was able to spot some new bigs in this event, as soon as I walked in the door I saw post players going at in the paint, I love to see that as well as discover those I have not seen before. Here are a few names from the games I watched this morning, these girls are new to our platform, but will not be anymore. Enjoy the article and give your feedback when you can.

2024, 6'0, SF, Birmingham HS, DeeDee Berry

Aggressive forward that is not afraid to get in the paint and tussle with player bigger than she is, can run the floor and is able to catch for easy transition buckets. She has soft hands and runs to the block to seal her opponents and can score over both shoulders, making her pretty agile down low for her defenders. Decent rebounder and is capable of blocking a few shots in the game.

2026, 5'10, CG, Birmingham HS, [player_tooltip player_id='574408' first='Aniya' last='Johnson']

Athletic specimen wing player, she is very athletic and has a nice strong body to boot, she is a rim runner and she will get out in front of the break and get easy buckets. She gets to the rim and can finish against contact, she gets to the line and converts free throw as well. She is working on her outside three pointer, but the form on the shot is there, she will get it together in the near future, fun to watch, love players of this caliber.

2026, 6'1, SF, Birmingham HS, Zoee Mitchell

Zoee has a college ready body and she knows how to use it down low in the paint, she is able to catch and seal her defender and make shots over both shoulders as well as step out to shoot the midrange short corner shot. She can run the floor and get buckets in transition, but her specialty as we saw it was putbacks under the rim, she rebounded very well and was able to get the ball out to the guard to start the break.

2024, 6'1, PF, Bonita HS, [player_tooltip player_id='876166' first='Jordy' last='DeMott']

Jordy is big and she has a very college ready body on her, she is aggressive in the paint, can putback after rebounds and can step out to shoot the short corner jumper. When she seals you in the paint there is nothing you can do to stop her from scoring, she gets to all the rebounds in her area and is able to get the ball out to the guards to start the break. She is athletic and agile, so she is a rim runner and she will finish it at the rim after she catches with her soft hands.

2025, 5'9, SF, Bonita HS, [player_tooltip player_id='839782' first='Lexi' last='Mercado']

Lexi ran the floor well, she got out in front of the break and was able to make a few layups and also is a good rebounder. She has good size and a solid post body, she is really good under the rim, she did not let any balls get by her in the paint. She can do some good things in the paint if they find her downlow, she was also able to recognize the double team and throw back out to guards.

2025, 5'10, PF, Pasadena HS, Patil Tajerian

Young big developing in her game, she was able to get up and down the floor, she was able to catch and make layups, but she might need to work on her conditioning a little more, but the framework for her development is very apparent. I love her size and how she may become more agile as she grows in her game; we love to watch young bigs in the making and we believe she will shape up nicely.
