Mimi Hart
Hart played incredibly well last season. Her improvement was statistically noticeable, and she was arguably the most improved player in Wisconsin. Hart went from being an average shooter at the high school level in her freshman season to an elite one in her sophomore season. She looked much more comfortable in her role and improved with more usage. In this upcoming season, without Reagan Pahl, the Bulldogs will lean on Hart even more because Hart’s the leading returning scorer for the Bulldogs. She kept up her performances all over the Midwest with CBA this past AAU season and looked like a different player from a year ago. I’m eager to see what she looks like with even more usage at Cedarburg.
The two main guards at MAS, who led the Novas to a D3 state title game, are not there anymore. Now, Jaeda Turner Jaeda Turner 5'5" | PG Milwaukee Academy Of Science | 2025 WI has the reins to the Novas offense, and with the reputation they’ve built, those are big shoes to fill. Turner has some qualities that Waheed and Ellis have. The speed, competitiveness, and grit are all there, but we haven’t seen what that would look like with a significant dose of that in a 36-minute game. We can’t expect Turner to replace two elite-level guards on her own, but this is Turner’s offense now, and I’m curious to see how it looks this season.
There are plenty of question marks at KM this upcoming season, and most characters will look different. The Lasers have a new coach, no Braelyn Torres, and no Grace Grocholski. That said, Gomez is a guard who could see a significant minutes increase in her junior season after earning a more prominent role throughout her sophomore season. Gomez and Torres are similar in that they’re both defenders who don’t take anything for granted and are pass first. She had an excellent summer with the Wisconsin Lakers 16U team this past summer and could improve with more usage at KM.
Addisyn Viestenz Addisyn Viestenz 5'5" | CG Oconto | 2025 State WI
There’s something about kids who are a little chippier than the other nine kids on the floor, and Viestenz is one of them. No matter who she played, she got into dangerous spots on the floor where she could score or pass. I thought she did a solid job competing on the defensive end, even against some of the more talented 16U teams in the region. She already had a 17ppg season last year in the Packerland, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s even better this time around for Oconto.
