Continue ReadingAva started off showcase on fire from the three-point line. She showed her versatility and willingness to do whatever her team needed. In the first game she played primarily from the wing position. She had 11 of her teams 16 points in the first half. She used her size to post up smaller defenders and did a nice job rebounding offensively. In the second and third game she played more in the post often guarding players who were 6 feet or taller. Ava battled in the paint, using good positioning and constant movement to make it difficult for players to post up. She was effective rebounding and hustled after loose balls. Ava was been bothered by injury the past year, so it was really nice to see her back on the court.

Emorean took half a game to get going, but once she started, she never stopped. She had an impact on the game on both sides of the ball. Emorean read the passing lanes for cross court steals, pushed the ball in transition and utilized her athleticism to finish through traffic with a variety of acrobatic finishes. She was dynamic in transition, but also showed patients in the half court, moving the ball to get the best team shot. Has a good feel for the game, most effective attacking gaps in defense but showed she can knock down the long range jumper. Great showing for Emorean, one of the more exciting players to watch.
Amya has nice size on the perimeter at 5‘9“. She is energetic, long and runs the lanes and transition for easy buckets. Amya did a nice job reading passing lanes, creating deflections and turnovers. Very good rebounder from the guard position who was able to push the ball ahead and transition. She is patient on offense attacked poor close outs on ball reversal, slicing her way through the defense utilizing her athleticism to finish over taller defenders.

Inside/out threat, she was able to post up while stepping out to the three-point line and knocked a couple down. With continued work in the weight room, she should improve her finishing ability with contact in the paint. Summer ran the floor well, showed versatility running rim to rim or being used as a trailer for a spot at three. Good rebounder who is able to start the break with two or three dribbles to pass ahead to guards run in the lane.
