Budler was among the most exciting and unpredictable guards at this event, proving to have a high feel for the game. The guard’s quick processing speeds along with the ball handling repertoire allowed her to be a dynamic playmaker. Effective flowing into three point shots off of movement, the guard was capable of knocking down quick trigger jump shots. While around the rim, Budler could finish layups in traffic with either hand, displaying soft touch under tight contests.
Talia Strode Talia Strode 5'7" | CG Cherokee Trail | 2025 State CO – Cherokee Trail – 2025
Strode was highly impactful on both ends of the floor, demonstrating a very high motor regardless of her backcourt position. Active diving for loose balls, the guard embodied grit and determination going for those 50/50 balls. She proved capable of attacking downhill, possessing a quick first step and tight handle while in traffic. Strode plays only a small part in Cherokee Trail’s deep program.
Liliana Archuleta Liliana Archuleta 5'3" | SG Northfield | 2025 CO – Northfield – 2025
Archuleta was an active defender in the paint and along the perimeter, keeping active hands consistently throughout her defensive possessions. The guard was consistently pushing the pace, making herself valuable for outlet passes.
Julianna Flores – Taos (NM) – 2025
Flores finished quite a few layups in traffic, active at attacking immediately off the catch. The guard was consistent at getting to her rip through, getting downhill before the defense could settle into position. If the defense failed to respect her shooting ability, Flores answered through a few made threes on the day, primarily from spot-up situations.
Alana Biosse Alana Biosse 5'5" | SG Mallard Creek | 2024 NC – Cherokee Trail – 2024
Biosse did well scoring around the basket, both through finesse and fundamental avenues for shot creation. The guard was especially active crashing the glass on defense, utilizing those rebounds to push the pace for coast to coast layups. She was effective on the offensive glass as well, keeping her head up for scoring options outside of herself if an immediate layup did not present itself. Her passing vision cannot be overlooked either, effective at finding teammates through tight windows, displaying excellent timing on such passes. The guard was effective knocking down three point attempts, capable of rising up into shots immediately following the catch.
Delilah Lucero – Mountain Range – 2026
Lucero was a capable perimeter shooter off the catch, moving into open space when possible. The guard was a vocal communicator, active coordinating possessions and directing traffic.
Josieraye Running Wolf Josieraye Running Wolf 5'9" | CG Mountain Range | 2025 State CO – 2025
Running Wolf stayed shot ready along the perimeter, active on her three point attempts off the catch. Another aspect of her impact was on hustle plays, staying active either diving on the floor or initiating contact on rebounding opportunities. Her continued growth as a ball handler will be intriguing, given her willingness to grab defensive rebounds.
Brynn Sybrant – Natrona County (WY) – 2025
Sybrant embraced the fundamentals as avenues for herself as a scorer. Doing well getting to jump stops to create a strong base on shot attempts, the guard did well finishing around the rim through contests and contact. Although active around the rim, Sybrant could stretch out the floor, knocking down a few spot-up jumpers through incoming contests.
