We have girls around the city putting in work whether it be training in the lab, playing on AAU teams, or conditioning. One thing for sure is that the city better be prepared for an entertaining season this December when the city league takes off. This article will explore some of the hidden talent here in the Dub, these ladies are going to catch your attention this season.
Jakhia is a fast pace point guard. She is able to see the floor no matter where she is on the court. Her quickness allows for her to get steals consistently throughout the game. Steals are for sure one of her strengths but not limited to knowing the right time to steal and attack the rim.
Emilys plays post-player. Her long build adds length to the floor and helps her to take steals whenever she wants. Her length not only is good on the defensive end but allows for her to get rebounds high off the glass. It is not every day that you see bigs get rebounds and put it back up.
Nyah’s game does not just start at the top of the key. She makes her stance known on the court, whether she is driving in the lane wide open or she is running down the court waiting for a fast break lay-up. She is able to make plays according to the defense and score accordingly. Nyah is able to extend her range from inside the paint to beyond the three-point line. Her talent is not limited to just her position as a shooting guard she is able to score the ball in various situations.
Highlights
KaMyra is quick on her feet and knows when to come in to steal the basketball. Not only is she able to deflect passes made to the opponents. Her range extends beyond mid- range. She is quick off the dribble and is able to hit shots down right off a pass. If the shot is not ideal you see her making plays with her teammates to get herself open again. KaMyra is constantly on the move looking for the next opportunity to make the next play.
Lily Martin

Lily’s size does not affect her on the court. If she is open she is taking it in for a lay-up regardless of the number of defenders in her way. She is quick when it comes to off-the-dribble moves and taking it to the basket to score. Her shot from the three-point line is a quick catch and release. If a hand is not in her face, she is going to get a bucket.
