Junior year is crucial for recruiting. Whether a player is bound for Division 1 or just trying to work their way into the college conversation, it's important for athletes to put their best foot forward prior to their penultimate season in high school. There were plenty of incoming 11th graders who did just that over the summer season. As we now update the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2025 rankings, their success is reflected in a big way. Here's an overview of the players who raised their stock the most in the Class of 2025 since our last update in June.

RESHUFFLING THE TOP 30

We consider prospects ranked in the Top 30 to be solid candidates for D1. The number of players from Minnesota who end up at the highest levels in college basketball is sometimes more and sometimes less than 30 in any given class, but it's a solid measuring stick year after year. Among the Top 30 there were three big stock risers:

#16 [player_tooltip player_id='296527' first='Aneisha' last='Scott'] – The crafty point guard from DeLaSalle had an amazing summer playing one year up for [program_tooltip program_id='712665' first='Metro' last='Stars'] Szabla. Aneisha took the reins for her new team and guided them to places nobody anticipated. She was a First Team All-Star as a result and began collecting D1 offers. Scott rises 5 positions to #16.

#22 [player_tooltip player_id='339143' first='Danielle' last='Coleman'] – Confidence is a huge factor when it comes to making the right impression in front of evaluators and college coaches. The 6-footer from Lakeville South seemed to find her footing this summer with Crossfire Mueller after teasing us for a long time with her intriguing potential. That earned her rise of 6 spots to #22.

#30 [player_tooltip player_id='396430' first='Aduke' last='Ojullu'] – The lengthy forward from Lakeville North was Coleman's teammate at Crossfire and she, too, turned it up a notch over the course of the AAU season. Ojullu has shown steady improvement over the past two years, entering the rankings at #60 in February of 2022 and working her way up to #53, #42, #38 and now rising another 8 spots to #30.

Other stock risers in the Top 30

#11 [player_tooltip player_id='208185' first='Liana' last='Buckhalton'] – The lengthy guard from Stillwater moves up 1 position to #11.

#17 [player_tooltip player_id='296531' first='Tatum' last='Woodson'] – The versatile guard from Hopkins rises 2 spots to #17.

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='252480' first='Rae' last='Ehrman'] – The energetic guard from Eden Prairie moves up 2 notches to #20.

#28 [player_tooltip player_id='215457' first='London' last='Harris'] – The all-around competitor from Hopkins continues improving, rising by 2 to #28.

#29 [player_tooltip player_id='252380' first='Kendra' last='Harvey'] – The high-octane guard from Byron moves up 3 places to enter the Top 30 at #29.

BIGGEST OVERALL STOCK RISERS

One of the trends that seems to repeat itself year after year for incoming juniors is substantial movement up the list for players with size. That's shouldn't be surprising given that guards tend to get their game together at a much younger age than bigger forwards. It's just basic physiology and the Class of 2025 appears to be following course. Our three biggest stock risers in this rankings update are all later-blooming forwards who entered the rankings in June at the Southern end of the list. Now, with more AAU visibility and experience on their resume, all three have earned a big jump.

+45 [player_tooltip player_id='653856' first='Ciara' last='Seifert'] – The 6-footer from Rochester John Marshall rises from #152 to #107. With excellent length, she rebounds at a high level. Seifert has a strong basketball IQ and thinks the game well. Her shooting is solid. A highly-coachable, team-first athlete, Ciara is building a nice resume for herself.

+45 [player_tooltip player_id='653857' first='Miranda' last='Palmby'] – The 6'1 forward from Dover-Eyota rises from #153 to #108. Miranda was Ciara's teammate this summer for [program_tooltip program_id='774605' first='Southern' last='MN Fury'] and they were a formidable duo. Palmby is a rebounding machine. She has nice length and athleticism and is a quality shooter who can also finish at the rim.

+45 [player_tooltip player_id='642954' first='Brooke' last='Ver Steeg'] – The 6-footer from Hancock also moves up 45 spots from #154 to #109. It has been fun watching Brooke's confidence grow since the Owls captured the 2022 Class A high school championship. She is more polished and more productive. With tons of length, Ver Steeg has a world of potential.

They weren't the only forwards who followed that same trend. Here's three more:

+24 [player_tooltip player_id='453749' first='Allison' last='Berns'] – The Wayzata forward grew her game dramatically with Crossfire Tusler and now improves from #80 to #56. She'll play a big role this winter.

+17 [player_tooltip player_id='653855' first='Ziyarah' last='Turner-Stensrud'] – The versatile big from Robbinsdale Cooper enhanced her skillset and became much more consistent. She rises from #151 to #134.

+16 [player_tooltip player_id='595583' first='Reilly' last='Kurth'] – The 6'2 forward from Wayzata splits her time between volleyball and basketball but that didn't stop her from rising to #101. She's ready for a breakthrough winter.

GUARDS WHO TOOK A BIG JUMP

Size matters, and every college coach is looking for more. In reality, however, it is still guards who run the show and set the table. There are a ton of great guards in the Class of 2025 and nine of them have improved their rankings by double digits this time around.

The top two movers

+33 [player_tooltip player_id='550001' first='Rylie' last='Cother'] – We watched the 5'9 junior from Jackson County Central take over a number of games for the Minnesota Rise this summer including a particularly memorable performance against All Iowa Attack. Rylie can flat out shoot the basketball as her 53-point school record performance indicates. She moves up to #50.

+33 [player_tooltip player_id='453752' first='Aubrey' last='Burkhart'] – The crafty point guard from Southwest Christian is a ton of fun to watch. She knows how to execute on offense and makes everyone around her better. Her giant leap up the rankings this time around is a correction of sorts that should have happened a good while ago. Burkhart improves 33 positions to #85.

Other double-digit stock risers

+16 [player_tooltip player_id='471192' first='Isabelle' last='Kirchner'] – Guards come in all sizes and descriptions. At about 5'11, Izzy offers up a ton of length to go with her pace, athleticism and elevation. Who knows what position she will eventually play in college. With a burgeoning skill set and a ton of range, Kirchner has earned a jump to #82.

+16 [player_tooltip player_id='453736' first='Sydney' last='Dahl'] – The 6-footer from Minnewaska is another guard with size and length who is highly versatile. She can play inside or out and defend all five positions as needed. She has great leadership ability and can really shoot it. Sydney moves up to #79.

+14 [player_tooltip player_id='595564' first='Abby' last='John'] – The 5'9 guard from Barnesville is a great ball handler with speed, quickness and the ability to get downhill in transition. Defensively she is a competitor with an aggressive streak. Abby has come back strong from a previous ACL injury and continues to rise. She's now at #97.

+13 [player_tooltip player_id='396444' first='Morgan' last='Hulke'] – The 5'8 veteran from New Ulm is strong, skilled and versatile. She can flat out shoot the basketball. Morgan can go off from three-point territory at any given moment but excels in so many other areas. She's smart, plays hard and defends with passion. Morgan is now at #95.

+11 [player_tooltip player_id='396435' first='Addison' last='Hoof'] – Some players just defy the odds. Hoof has always been undersized but she has never been overmatched. One of Minnesota's quickest players, Hoof has speed to burn and plays with a motor that never stops running. Her move up to #45 in the class is well-deserved.

+11 [player_tooltip player_id='339147' first='Camryn' last='Dennin'] – Camryn is another slight guard who hasn't let that hold her back. With terrific speed and quickness and a knack for making the big play, Dennin is a game changer who can score. She took a big jump in June from #144 to #99 and now rises another 11 positions to #88.
