The countdown to opening night continues. With it being Halloween Night, I think it is a good time to look at spooky good, high percentage perimeter shooters. Relying on data pulled from MaxPreps the list of players is provided in three point shooting percentage order. Pile cutters are players who played more than 16 varsity games and averaging 35% from beyond the arc.

Brooke Walker Brooke Walker 5'8" | CG Andover | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, CG, Andover – The University of Utah commit shot 39% with 38 made while averaging 17.5 points per game. Walker is a returning KBCA and Varsity Kansas 5A first team and two-time Arkansas Valley Chisholm Trail League Division II first team selection

Grace Hett, SG, Marion – Shot 38% with 49 made. Also shot 83% from the line while averaging 14.9 points per game. Hett earned Varsity Kansas 2A honorable mention andHeart of America League second team honors.

Josey Kennedy Josey Kennedy 5'6" | PG Hoxie | 2024 State KS , 5’5″, SG/PG, Hoxie – Kennedy shot 38% with 42 made while averaging 18 points per game. She is also a 33% career shooter with 84 made and a 65% career free throw shooter. Kennedy was selected to the KBCA 2A first and Varsity Kansas second team as well as the Mid-Continent League first team. Kennedy is also on of the state’s returning, most efficient, point guards.

Tessa Lohse Tessa Lohse 5'8" | CG Hanover | 2024 KS , 5’8″, CG, Hanover – Shot 37% with 41 made while averaging 8.5 points for the 1A Div II state champions. She Is a career 33% shooter with 90 made. She is a returning Varsity Kansas 1A division II honorable mention selection

Elizabeth Romer Elizabeth Romer 5'10" | SF Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, SG, Kapaun Mt. Carmel — While averaging nearly 15 points per game the University of Texas Rio Grande commit shot 36% with 54 made. the Greater Wichita Area League first team selection also was named Varsity Kansas 5A honorable mention.

Morgan Ruff Morgan Ruff 5'6" | PG Hodgeman County | 2024 State KS , 5’6″, SG, Hodgeman County – Ruff racked up 17.5 points per game while shooting 36% with 54 made. During her sophomore campaign she shot 28% with 37 made. A 2023 KBCA 1A Div I second team and Varsity Kansas third team selection, she also earned Southern Plains Iroquois Activities Association 2023 first team honors.

Gracie Riner Gracie Riner 5'4" | PG Osborne | 2024 State KS , 5’6″, PG/Sg, Osborne – Riner Shot 36% with 51 made while averaging 13.7 per game after averaging 38% as a sophomore with 50 made. She is also a career 35% shooter with 125 made and, despite a drop to 69% a year ago, a career 76% free throw shooter. Riner, one of the state’s top, most efficient, point guards, earned Varsity Kansas 1A Div I honorable mention last season. She has been either a first or second team Northern Plains League selection all three years.

Erika Felker Erika Felker 5'6" | CG Scott City | 2024 State KS , 5’6″, CG, Scott City- Felker shot 36% with 44 made while averaging 13.1 points per game. She shot 35% with 36 made as a sophomore and is a career 32% three point and 77% free throw shooter. Felker is a returning Varsity Kansas 3A honorable mention and two-time Great West Activities Conference second team selection

Hayden Snodgrass Hayden Snodgrass 5'9" | CG Andover Central | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, CG, Andover Central – Snodgrass averaged 35% with 49 made while averaging 14 points per game. She is also a career 33% three point shooter with 65 made and 72% free throw shooter. A returning Arkansas Valley Chisholm Trail League Division II first team selection she also was selected KBCA and Varsity Kansas 5A honorable mention.

Jenessa Ruder Jenessa Ruder 5'8" | SG Norton | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, SG, Norton – Averaging 35% with 38 made Ruder averaged 12.9 points per game. She is a career 35% shooter with 75 made. She is a returning Mid-Continent League second team and 2023 Varsity Kansas 3A honorable mention selection.
