The forward is a gritty defender, especially actively grabbing rebounds and pushing the pace out of those opportunities. The forward has continued to progress as a downhill scorer, taking advantage of her notable strength. Horton’s progression added consistency handling the ball throughout this past summer has illuminated further offensive value in her game. Proving capable of taking bumps to leverage space for pivots or mid-range shot attempts off the bounce. This is all on top of her beneficial defensive instincts, possessing a versatile frame capable of defending multiple positions.
Thompson embraces the fundamentals on the defensive glass, proactively working for position throughout her matchups. Excellent at utilizing her wide reach on contests, the forward keeps both arms up consistently against drives. Following an encouraging third season at Northfield, Thompson will add defensive value to a fast paced Vista Peak group. Through her junior season, the forward posted 5.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Showing flashes as a creative finisher around the rim, through euro steps or pivot moves, Thompson could be an impactful scorer around the rim.
Ellberbee shows value defending multiple positions out on the perimeter, showing additional versatility battling in the paint if necessary. The forward’s wide reach has made her capable of matching up with three positions. The forward’s continued progression as a perimeter playmaker will be worth tracking, whether that be through her ball handling or spot-up shooting consistency. No doubt that the forward will provide value on the defensive side, guarding multiple positions if necessary.
Bateman is an assertive rebounder on either end of the floor, actively crashing the glass through multiple opponents. There is no doubt the guard’s high motor creates plenty of second chance opportunities for this group, actively setting up perimeter shooters or going up for the putback.

Giulia Otto
Otto is a high motor rebounder, actively staying strong to contest incoming drives. The forward shows immense value defending the paint or switching onto opposing guards. Putting up 6.3 rebounds and 1 block per game, the forward will look to continue adding physicality to this group’s interior. Otto’s growth as a play finisher will be intriguing, given her constant activity around the rim.
Diaz looks to be an impactful floor spacer with North, previously attempting a large portion of three point attempts for this group. Taking on a large portion of ball handling responsibilities her previous season, Diaz will step into a large role yet again. Active attacking the middle should help be stretched out beyond the paint, the guard is quick to recognize scoring opportunities around the rim. Through the guard’s previous season with Denver North, Diaz put up 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game for then 17-7 group.
