California Team Rankings; Top 25; 1-5 Top Schools

We put together a Top 25 California Schools Rankings this edition to show our strength as well as some of the California teams being ranked in the National Top 25 schools in the country. We have some of the best talent in the country in this state, that is undeniable to anyone who believes different. Here are the Top Five Schools in our opinion.     #1: Etiwanda HS (32-3) CIFSS Open Division Finalist 2023; Open Division Regional Champions & Open Division State Champion 2023; #3 in the SBLive National Rankings   Etiwanda did a great job this last season garnering some of the best performances we have seen in a while, they beat the #1 team in Sierra Canyon in the State Regional final to go on an defeat Archbishop Mitty in the State Finals and capture their first Open Division State Championship. They are a young group that is very seasoned and Coach Stan Delus has done a great job with these kids, developing them and making them tough and ready to handle what is around the corner next. This is a defensive minded team that can also put up some numbers on you and they do it in a hurry and keep you off base with their defensive intensity. Seniors: [player_tooltip player_id='390502' first='Jada' last='Taylor'], Alexus Finley, Jada Sanders, [player_tooltip player_id='104797' first='Kennedy' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='645565' first='Sania' last='Jenkins'], Mykelle Richards and [player_tooltip player_id='166836' first='Ryann' last='Riddle'] Juniors: [player_tooltip player_id='393740' first='Aliyahna' last='Morris'], [player_tooltip player_id='761239' first='Grace' last='Knox'] and [player_tooltip player_id='393735' first='Layla' last='Harris'] Sophomores: [player_tooltip player_id='574394' first='Arynn' last='Finley']     #2: Sierra Canyon HS (33-1), CIFSS Open Division Champion 2023; Open Division Regional Champions 2022; #4 in the SBLive National Rankings   Sierra Canyon has always been a Top team in the State of California for girls basketball, they have always had superstars and a cast of very good players to fill out their rosters. They have battled with Etiwanda and other Top teams in the State, but the relationship between Sierra Canyon and Etiwanda has been monumental over the past few years starting in 2018. Both of these teams get athletes knocking down their doors to come and play, they both travel the country playing very competitive schedules and it is for good reason. These teams will continue to battle it out in the State Open Division every year, it is just how it suppose to go.   Seniors: [player_tooltip player_id='104793' first='Christy' last='Reynoso'], [player_tooltip player_id='209986' first='Mackenly' last='Randolph'], Carolina Yerke, Sabrina De Leon, [player_tooltip player_id='756896' first='Izela' last='Arenas'] and Kayla Malek Juniors: Jalen Samuel, Leia Edwards and [player_tooltip player_id='570445' first='Laila' last='Bowens'] Sophomores: [player_tooltip player_id='558892' first='Jerzy' last='Robinson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='574411' first='Emilia' last='Krstevski']     #3: La Jolla Country Day HS (8-5); CIFSD Open Division Champion 2023; #8 in the SBLive National Rankings   La Jolla County Day is a storied program with the a superstar roster going back to Candace Wiggins, they have always been on the map and have won numerous Championships in CIF San Diego for awhile now. The most recent stars to come out of that program was Breya Cunningham and Jada Williams, both of those athletes are now debuting at University of Arizona this coming season and we believe they both will contribute to the success of their team this year. This group is well-coached by long tenured Head Girls Basketball Coach Terri Bamford and she is one of the most respected and most knowledgeable and has been winning games for years.   Seniors: Taylor Dente, Maya Couey, Alea Tufaga, [player_tooltip player_id='566439' first='Naomi' last='Panganiban'], Ann Mae-DeGuzman and [player_tooltip player_id='104794' first='Tajianna' last='Roberts'] Juniors: [player_tooltip player_id='570443' first='Erin' last='Sicari'] Sophomores: Safiyha Sugapong, Jet Walton, Atlanta Bass -Sulpizio, [player_tooltip player_id='574427' first='Mahlia' last='Washington'] and Amelia Dunbar     #4: Archbishop Mitty HS (27-3), CCS Girls Basketball Open Division Champions 2023, Regional Open Division Champions 2023 & CIF State Open Division Finalist 2023; #9 in SBLive National Rankings   Archbishop Mitty High School, located in San Jose, California, is known for its successful girls' basketball program. The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs girls' basketball team is renowned for its competitive performances at both the state and national levels. They are always a force to deal with in the girls basketball arena and will continue to be as long as the kids are lined up to go there to get a chance to be apart of a CIF State Championship team.   Seniors: [player_tooltip player_id='166834' first='Morgan' last='Cheli'], Elana Weisman, Maalia Cherry and [player_tooltip player_id='758375' first='Belle' last='Bramer'] Juniors: Princess Mendoza, Jordan Bowar and Niyati Bangalore Sophomores: [player_tooltip player_id='1277994' first='Emma' last='Cook'], [player_tooltip player_id='574428' first='McKenna' last='Woliczko'] and [player_tooltip player_id='891489' first='Janaya' last='Williams']     #5: Mater Dei HS (27-5); CIFSS Open Division Semi-Finalist 2023, CIF State Regional SemiFinalist 2023   Mater Dei is a juggernaut in the game of girls basketball on the West Coast and even in the Country, they continue to bring in great talent and super athletes that go on to be superstars in college and some even make it to the WNBA. They have a kid right now that will make that journey if she continues to work hard and be the best she possibly can be and that athletes name is Addision Deal, she is gonna be special and remember folks, I told you that name when she was a 7th grader. Mater Dei is always in contention with a CIFSS Championship or a State Championhsip and they play a good schedule that keeps them in the National Top 25 rankings, enough said..
