The Class of 2024 is getting ready to begin the last Winter of their high school careers, as teams are two weeks away from their first official practices for the 2023-2024 season. Last week, we released our updated rankings for 2024. We did not expand the list at all, so there is still a Top-100 and a watch list of another 125 prospects, forming a total of 225 members of the Class of 2024 listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. This quarter is more of a maintenance update heading into the high school season, but we will expand the list one final time around Christmas. Below, I wanted to highlight all of the power forwards in the class who we currently have listed, as well as highlight a handful of ladies who stood out throughout the Summer and early Fall.

SUMMER/FALL STOCK-RISERS:

– Molly is a fairly strong, active, and effortful forward who is typically highly productive each time she takes the floor. She has some perimeter skill and can step outside to knock down the occasional 3-pointer, but at her high school she is one of the few non-guards on the roster. She is a good pursuing rebounder, she can defend different types of forwards, and she’s incredibly effective in the mid-post. She should be on a lot of small college radars right now.

– I really like Kelsey’s potential, and I think she has the chance to make an even bigger impact once she gets to college. She is starting to get stronger, and I think that will help her game gain consistency. She has nice length, she’s a solid all-around athlete, plus she’s skilled. She can knock down a short corner or mid-post jumper, but she also has the size and know-how to post smaller defenders on the low block. I also like how well she runs the floor.

– Arianna has been making noise in Southwest Indiana for years, but it wasn’t until recently that colleges started taking notice, and now she has a ton of elite small college interest. She has a strong, athletic frame, she’s a nice athlete in most directions, and she plays with a great motor. She can knock down a rhythm 3-pointer, attack the basket off the dribble, or post smaller defenders inside. Ultimately, I think she’s a nice mid-post scorer with 3-point ability.
Juliann Woodard

, 2024, 6-1 PF, Jennings County H.S.
– Juliann has taken her game to another level over the past 9-12 months. She has always been a strong kid with a tremendous motor, but now she looks a bit leaner, bouncier, and much more active at all levels. She has added a consistent perimeter jumper, plus her handle has improved, but I like it when she remembers she can overpower people inside. She will need to continue working on her on-ball defense, but she is one of the state’s best rebounders.
Daneijah Wynn

– Daneijah is an intriguing prospect because she can do so many different things on the floor. She has a strong, athletic frame, with broad shoulders, nice length, and some shiftiness to her. She can handle the ball somewhat like a point forward and create for others, but she is also a nice downhill attacker. She is highly effective in the mid-post because of her ability to consistently knock down the 15-footer or attack from there. She’s also a really nice rebounder.
