We had a chance to see some of the players this past weekend and the prevailing theme is that new leaders will now have to inspire their teams and lead on and off the court.

FL
is no longer an underclassman and will take on more leadership roles on and off of the court. On the court, she will have a lot more weapons around her: shooters all over the court, young guards who play like veterans, and a dominant center in the middle who will give Knauff and company more shooting and scoring opportunities. Knauff looked more mature and her game is still the same. Her three point shot looked as smooth as ever and she was getting after it on both ends of the court.
Ella Stakem Ella Stakem 5'7" | SG Bolles HS | 2024 State FL and Hilary Englert Hilary Englert 5'10" | SF Bolles | 2024 State FL are both seniors and will look to provide leadership for a young and talented Bolles team. Stakem will continue to shoot the three pointers and play good defense against opposing guards. Englert will continue to do the little things and check the opponent’s toughest players, while also providing some scoring and rebounding for the young Bolles team. Leadership in addition to their other duties will be the expected role for these two Seniors.
Janai Jordan Janai Jordan 5'9" | PG Providence Jacksonville Florida | 2025 State FL is now one of the main leaders of the Providence team after the graduation of Ella Ortman . Judging from the Fall Leauge finale, Jordan is the right candidate for the job. She can shoot the three, handle the rock, run the offense, and get to the rim. Jordan is also smooth in the transition game where she knows how to get baskets. She will be one of the primary weapons for Providence and she will also be counted on to get be a leader and get her teammates involved.
Janie Boyd Janie Boyd SG Providence School | 2025 State FL is another 2025 player that Providence will be counting on to be a force this upcoming season. Boyd is a lights out shooter who can shoot it from anywhere on the court. She is an aggressive scorer and the three ball is where she does most of her damage. Boyd can also get to the rack to score and also makes plays to get her teammates involved. She and Jordan will be required to lead this upcoming season.
Kennedy Rosendahl Kennedy Rosendahl 5'6" | SG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL looked good on the final day of the fall league. She showed versatility to her game by not only knocking down threes, but also getting to the rim. Rosendahl will lead a senior strong roster that has had success over the past few years. The Sharks are looking to take over the waters this year with such a veteran group that includes Maya Richards Maya Richards 5'9" | SG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL , Taylor Perce Taylor Perce 5'10" | SG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL and Charlotte Peverley Charlotte Peverley 6'0" | PF Pontre Vedra | 2024 State FL .
Morgan Gavazzi Morgan Gavazzi 5'6" | PG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL and continued her stellar play over the summer and the time is now for Gavazzi and company. Gavazzi can shoot the three, get to the rim, and dish the rock. She and Rosendahl led the way over the summer finale and that will be expected this upcoming season.
Kendall Shorstein Kendall Shorstein 5'5" | SG Episcopal School Of Jacksonville | 2024 State FL and Claire Coogan Claire Coogan 5'6" | PG Episcopal | 2024 State FL looked to be in mid season form and ready for the upcoming season. Shorstein knocked down some long range threes. She did a good job of running the offense and providing leadership on the courts. Coogan had a very productive summer, including several college offers and a lot of notoriety to go along with the production. These two senior guards will look to provide leadership this season along with Hannah Bittner Hannah Bittner 5'9" | CG Episcopal School of Jacksonville | 2024 State FL .
