Here are some names that we like and we decided to write some evaluations on these players. These are the kids that make the team GO, here are the selections we were impressed with.
2025, 5’7, CG, Harvard Westlake HS – Deana Thompson Deana Thompson 5'7" | CG Harvard Westlake | 2025 State CA
We have watched Deana since she was a 7th grader and I must say, she is shaping up to be a solid lead guard for her squad, she is in control of the game at each time we have watched her play over the years. She is a dynamic point guard that can score the ball and run the offense, she is skilled at getting paint touches and kicking out to shooters and skilled at getting floaters over the hands of bigs in the paint for easy buckets. She is a consistent three point shooter and is improving daily on her skill set to make her a college bound guard. Impressed with her journey and we will be there all the way to support that, best believe this for sure.
2024, 5’7, CG, Bonita HS, Serenity Henerson
Serenity is a solid guard that knows how to play the game the right way, she is smooth, she is patient and she is a team player that does what she is suppose too. She can swing thru and get to the rim and finish, she can swing thru and hit the floater in the paint and she is also skilled at catching and shooting the three pointer. We watched her make plays this past weekend and she stood out to us a solid lead guard. I also love her tenacity on the floor on both sides of the ball, she gets deflection and recovers the ball and is able to push the break or get to a teammate to finish in transition.
2027, 5’9, CG, Harvard Westlake HS, Angelina Habis Angelina Habis 5'9" | CG Harvard Westlake | 2027 State CA
Angelina is a smooth left handed guard that plays really hard for her team at all times, she is gifted with her skill set to be able to score the ball from all three levels on the floor. She is dominantly left, but that does not stop the tenacity and hustle we see on the floor as a lead guard, she is more than capable of making things happen on the floor for her team. She can drive and kick to shooters, she can get in the paint and use the floater with consistency and she is skilled to beat you off the dribble and finish at the rim thru contact. She is a developing young guard with a lot of upside and we cannot wait to see her this year.
2024, 5’9, CG, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Jailynn Clayton Jailynn Clayton 5'7" | SG San Joaquin Memorial | 2024 State CA
Jailynn is a super athletic guard that has been on the scene for year now, she excelled as a youth basketball player and she has developed into a consistent and reliable lead guard for her top contention team in the state. She is skilled at scoring from all three levels and she is one of the better defensive guards in the state, she locks up and we love that part of her game. We see the improvements in her skill set and her patient is very impressive, she is never pushing the issue, she is calm and makes all of the right plays on the floor. This kid will help her team get to the SHIP this year, they have a really good cast.
