It will be a battle for the top of both divisions, as North Adams finished unbeaten in conference play, with Fairfield right behind them. In the other division, really it is wide open as four of the five teams finished within three games of each other.
5 Players to Watch
Kenlie Jones
Kenlie Jones
Kenlie is the leading returning scorer for North Adams, who ran the table in the conference last season with a perfect 13-0 league record. Kenlie scored at a pace of 11 per game last year and was a key part of their offense as a distributor and controlled the offense. Solid on the boards and a good on-ball defender. Look for her to increase her game with the loss of Keetyn Hupp. Plays big for her size.
Faith Donley
Faith Donley
Solid guard with good court sense and a good basketball IQ. Leader on the floor with handles and a solid defender. Scored 12 ppg last season and was a main threat around the basket. Not a big deep perimeter scorer, but she is able to score in a variety of ways. Good court vision and is able to facilitate the offense.
They had a solid year with 15 wins last season, and much of that success was a result of Addison’s solid play. She is a prolific three-point shooter and was consistently in double figures last year as their offensive leader. Good court vision and able to move well.
She is back for one more amazing season as the senior put up some gaudy numbers last season. Payton scored at a clip of 24 points and 9 rebounds per.game. Such a physically strong kid, she gets to the line on a regular basis, and can shoot over 70%. Eleven times she went to the free throw line double digit times and draws the opponents tough inside defender. Also averaged 4 steals per game last season. Committed to Rio Grande. Brooklyn Manning
Brooklyn Manning
Brooklyn was a pretty steady player last season as a freshman despite a struggling season for Ripley. She led the team with nearly 12 points and 8 rebounds per game and had three double-doubles. Would like to see her cut down on turnovers, but I will assess that to having to do a lot as a freshman last season,
