TOP PROSPECTS
Regan Juenemann Regan Juenemann 5'9" | CG Duluth Marshall | 2025 State MN – Regan’s basketball journey has been well-chronicled here over the past few years and deservedly so. The 5’10 guard from Duluth Marshall is rated #15 in the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2025 and she has earned every accolade she’s been given. Juenemann is all-in with a work ethic that is unquestioned, a consistent commitment to improvement, and a motor that runs hot all day long. She’s scrappy and crafty and knows how to make things happen. On Saturday Regan did what Regan does – she ran the floor at pace, scored inside and out, and set the tempo for her team. Juenemann is one of the most athletic, most dynamic players in the state. She’ll move to Minnesota Stars 3SSB next spring.
Romo Smith Romo Smith 5'10" | PF Mankato West | 2026 State MN – Romo has a lot to offer in addition to her big smile, infectious energy and natural physical strength. The 5’10 forward from Mankato West is rated #51 in the Class of 2026. Smith is an excellent rebounder who uses her strength and size to control the paint. Even against taller forwards Romo manages to pull down more than her share of boards. She’s just got that anticipation, the sense of timing and the willingness to get after it that is so hard to teach. She can also get tips and deflections to create turnovers for her team. Offensively, Smith has improved her finishing, ball handling and shooting. Romo is also a great passer.
Haven Fisher Haven Fisher 5'11" | SG Prior Lake | 2025 State MN – We have always loved the way the Prior Lake guard plays the game. Now that she stands 5’11, and is no longer the wafer-thin newcomer we first watched three years ago, we like Haven even more. Pictured above, Fisher has filled out and gotten stronger. Ranked #86 in the Class of 2025, she has a solid base now and it provides her with so many more options. Fisher has speed and quickness, with a really long first stride and nice elevation. She has become a very good ball handler and shooter – her little fadeaway was impressive on Saturday – and she can go coast to coast at a high rate of speed and finish with either hand. With a big motor and a ton of positive energy, Fisher’s future is bright.
STOCK RISERS
Clara Goodman Clara Goodman 5'4" | SG Eastview | 2026 State MN – Clearly the 5’4 guard from Eastview is undersized. Sometimes, when a player’s skill level and savvy is light years beyond average, that doesn’t make a whole lot of difference. Goodman is a great example of that. She just does so many things well. She can handle it, shoot it, score it and run an offense with the best of them. She does so many little things coaches love and she fights for every inch. The one thing she does better than anything else, however, is shoot the three and it is a thing of beauty with a smooth delivery, quick release and high arc. Clara can also beat you off the bounce. The North Tartan Elite athlete entered the 2026 rankings last week at #68 and rising.
Leilani Fonoti Leilani Fonoti 5'10" | SG Cloquet | 2024 State MN – The 5’10 guard from Cloquet is a grinder who is driven to play the game she lovers. We’ve watched it for years with Minnesota Starks on the AAU Circuit and in Native American tournaments across the country. Clearly, Fonoti has put in the work to get better and create opportunities for herself, and she’s still at it. Leilani is a team-first guard who will do whatever it takes to help her crew win. With a big frame and plenty of strength, she can overpower defenders to score through contact. She’s talkative and supports her teammates on the floor. She rebounds hard and fights for possessions. One area where she has improved is not trying to do too much and letting the game come to her a little more. Ranked #154 in the Class of 2024, Leilani will definitely compete at the collegiate level.
Ali Simonson Ali Simonson 5'11" | SF Farmington | 2025 State MN – This is probably going to be a big year for the 5’11 junior from Farmington. Ranked #163 in the Class of 2025, the athletic small forward from Crossfire has improved so much over the past 12 months as she has grown into her body and learned how to use it for maximum advantage. Ali is long and muscular and she knows how to deploy that length, particularly on defense where she is active, energetic and committed. She’s scrappy and fights for every opportunity while defending multiple positions. She is a nice rebounder, too, and frequently scores on the put-back. Ali’s outside game is expanding, as well, as her all-around skillset grows. Put it all together and Simonson is a player to watch.
EMERGING TALENT
Parker Haffeman Parker Haffeman 5'8" | PF Monticello | 2026 State MN – We first saw Parker at a Minnesota Suns tryout in August where she dipped her toe into the AAU waters for the first time. She showed us at that time that she is up to the challenge of competing against the best. She did that again Saturday at the Expo. The 5’8 guard is so strong. She’s athletic and mobile and she’s feisty. Parker is a 2026 from Monticello where she played some varsity on a senior-heavy squad last season. This winter we’re confident in saying that she is about to bust loose.
Savannah Belongia Savannah Belongia 5'7" | SG Champlin Park | 2025 State MN – As our colleague Tony Ragulen said Sunday in his article about players with great intangibles, the 5’7 Belongia has developed into a well-rounded performer who can help her team in so many different ways. The 2025 guard from Champlin Park and Legacy Hoops has a solid build and good mobility. Savvanah loves to pressure on defense and talks a lot. Offensively she understands spacing and ball movement and her skills have improved significantly. We look forward to more in the months ahead.
