Recruiting Update: Who are the best available D2 wings?

Last week we began our breakdown of the best available Division 2 prospects from across the state. So far, we've taken a look at ten guards from the junior and senior classes who have yet to make a decision on where they will continue their basketball careers. Today we're looking at our next group of scholarship-level upperclassmen who have yet to announce their college commitment; the wings.    Continually improving year after year, Iversen has now cemented herself as one of Minnesota's top Division 2 prospects. This summer the 6'0 wing had an impressive stretch with the [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars']. Since April, Addie has collected D2 offers from Bemidji, Roosevelt, Palm Beach Atlantic, and Michigan Tech. After averaging 15.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game as a junior, Iversen is ready to lead the charge for Delano this winter.     A top 25 prospect in the class of 2028, Joyce has been impressing our scouts for a number of years now. The New Ulm junior is a strong, physical defender who doesn't back down from a challenge. Offensively, Maggie moves well, is a strong finisher around the rim, and has a developing outside shot. Following a strong summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise'] 2028 Hulke squad, the 5'11 small forward picked up a D2 offer from Minnesota Duluth in August.     A fluid, three-level scorer who can elevate over any defender, Taylor (pictured above) made a significant impact for the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2027 S40 squad all summer. Throughout the AAU season, the DeLaSalle senior collected offers from Bay College, NIACC, and Milwaukee Area Tech. Standing at 5'11, Samira's length, two-way versatility, and energy on the boards will be key assets for the Islanders as they play their first season under head coach Nia Hollie.     An integral part of the young core group at Lakeville North last season, Vossen was a breakout performer for the Panthers in her sophomore campaign. This summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'], Parker grew her game even more. While she doesn't typically light up the scoreboard, the 6'0 small forward leaves her mark through her defensive effort, rim protection, and energy plays on both ends of the floor. Now entering her junior season, Vossen will be an important plug-and-play piece for the South Suburban powerhouse.     After emerging as a key defensive contributor for Hopkins last winter, Nesbitt continued to excel with [program_tooltip program_id='713348' first='E1T1' last=''] in her final AAU season. The 5'8 small forward had big performances at the AAU State Prelims and Midwest Kick-Off Classic, finding her shot on post-up opportunities and rolls to the basket. Part of a core group now entering their senior season, Inarah's poise, mature leadership, and consistent effort on both ends of the floor will be of tremendous value for the Royals this season.     Following a stellar sophomore season where she dominated the scoring column for Hermantown, Sherill went on to have a breakout summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='767539' first='Minnesota' last='Comets']. The 6'0 wing has plenty of upside to her game. Hardworking on defense, a versatile scorer, and a high level athlete, Jailynn is a top 35 ranked prospect in the junior class. This summer she collected Division 2 offers from schools such as Southwest Baptist University and Minot State.     Second in scoring for Mahtomedi last winter, Dumermuth averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game in her junior season with the Zephyrs. While not overly flashy in her approach, Delaney is a physical, blue-collar player who consistently finds a way to get the job done. The top 40 ranked senior is particularly effective scoring around the rim, is strong on the defensive glass, and is always willing to do what the team needs to get a win.     Quast was easily one of the most improved players we watched this summer. Long, athletic, and highly versatile, the [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] wing has made major strides in both her confidence and skill level. In her sophomore season at Shakopee Ellie averaged 7.6 points per contest. Now with some roster spots opening up, we're predicting a big year for the Sabers junior. Still a relatively unknown prospect in the class of 2028, Quast is a player coaches will want to be watching this winter.     From her breakout sophomore season at Hopkins to her stellar summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'], it's clear that Smith is on an upward trajectory as of late. Standing at 5'10, the Royals junior is a physically imposing presence on the defensive end who makes her impact in a variety of ways. Ava can score off the bounce, dominate the boards, knockdown shots from the perimeter, or shut down her opponents in the paint. We're calling it now; this winter is going to be a big year for the scholarship-level prospect.     Admittedly, Schneekloth is a newer addition to our radar. Bursting into our field of view at the high school state tournament, the 6'0 wing from Marshall is lengthy, athletic, and highly versatile. After the high school season, Avery had a solid summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise']. She entered the class of 2027 rankings for the first time back in June, coming in at #62 – well into scholarship-level territory. Following the graduation of Tigers standout Taleigha Bigler, Schneekloth is going to be a big contributor this winter.
