I messaged with Coach Combs & I was super thankful for all of the insight he was able to provide in regards to his team! I can't wait to watch the Morristown East Girl's live this year! A young squad that is looking to build off of a double digit win season from last year. Being able to accomplish the double digit win season from last year was huge because this was the first time that it happened in 3 years. Coach Combs stated, "Hopefully if we can stay healthy this year, we can improve on the foundation we built last year and take the next step towards building this program and getting it back to where it needs to be." If the athletes buy in, I have no doubt that we will all hear about Morristown East this year & for years to come!

Prospects to keep your eyes on:

[player_tooltip player_id='405856' first='Hailey' last='Hall'] is the only senior on the team. The senior leadership that Hailey will provide will help her team succeed! Hall may never be the tallest player on the court but she has more heart than most! Super quick guard with an explosive first step. Don't leave her open, she can definitely knock down the 3 ball. The unsigned senior can definitely play at the next level. Talk about a player that has flown under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='889872' first='Ella' last='Wampler'] (2025) is an athlete that I've touched base on before. The softball phenom can get it done on the court too. Great hands. One of the strongest players that you are going to find in Tennessee. Per coach, "Squatting nearly 330 in the weight room." That is super impressive! Rebounds exceptionally well and plays the game the right way. Hustles & runs the floor better than most at her position!

[player_tooltip player_id='890187' first='Hudson' last='Cloninger'] (2025) is another super fast guard. The lockdown defender is going to make you work. Coach, "She guards the other teams best player every game willingly." That is what every coach wants on their team. Defense, defense, & more defense! Hudson can also knock down the 3 ball!

Josie Helton (2025) has great size and length at around 5'10”. Good finisher at the rim with a smooth shot. Helton may have taken some time off the court but she's back so put her on your radar. Josie is improving in every aspect of her game. Versatile with being able to post up or play the guard position.

[player_tooltip player_id='899919' first='Hannah' last='Hall'] (2026) also has good size and according to her coach, she is a tough hard nosed physical player who can post up but also make 3s and beats people off the bounce. Hall played valuable minutes as a freshman and earned a starting position last year. Good defender with a great feel for the game!

[player_tooltip player_id='900802' first='Riley' last='Forester'] (2026) is another young player that adds good size to her team! Riley has a niche for always finding the right position. If you want to know a player that has a high IQ, Forester provides her team that too.

Many up & coming young talented players and I didn't mention all of them. The entire team is going to continue to grow and learn! I can't wait to see how you ladies start and finish the season. Best of luck to all of you and your coaching staff!
