New Jersey 250 Expo Top Performers

I made the trip to New Jersey this past weekend. It was a good day of competition. Here are the top performers from the New Jersey Top 250 Expo. [player_tooltip player_id='414425' first='Juliana' last='O'Dowd'], High School Montville, Class 2025, Position G, HT 5'8 Juliana is a very solid all around player. She really impressed me at the expo, and was possibly the top player at the event. She can play PG or SG. She also defends well. When you look at her stats, she really has a little bit of everything. At the expo she had strong takes going to the basket, she shot well, and rebounded well. She looked comfortable handling the ball, and could run the point or play off the ball. She has a high basketball IQ and plays with high energy. The playmaking Guard, has a versatile skill set, and a lot of upside to her game. I think Juliana has the skills to play at the division 1 college level. [player_tooltip player_id='525309' first='Averie' last='Harding'], High School EGG Harbor Township, HT 6'2, Class 2025, Averie is a 6'2 big, who can also stretch the floor. Averie is always a double double threat. At the Expo she showed her fundamental footwork in the post. She did a good job fighting for positioning, and sealing the defenders in the post. She had some nice finishes in the paint, over tough defenders. She also rebounded well, and was a paint protector. Her best attributes is her post skills, but she also showed her ability to play on the perimeter, handle the ball, and attack off the dribble. She had a few nice takes off the dribble to finish at the rim. There is a lot of upside in Averie's game with her height and skill set. [player_tooltip player_id='488850' first='Bianca' last='Ellis'], HT 5'4, High School Parmaus Catholic, Class 2024, Position PG, Don't let Bianca's size fool you. She is a skilled Guard, who can control the tempo of the game. She is not afraid to shoot from long range. Although some of her three point attempts during the day were from very deep, she did make a few. She also had a few nice takes off the dribble, finishing high off the glass over the bigger defender. Bianca is a high energy uncommitted 2024 prospect, that could help out any division three college program. Anaya Karriem, High School West Orange, HT 6'2, Position C, Class 2025, Anaya has a college level built. She is a high energy, and strong big. She has good post moves, and does a good job going into the contact, and not fading away in the paint. She has good hands, and cought the majoritie of entry passes she saw throughout the day. She also at times showed the ability to be a slasher off the dribble. On defense her length made it tough throughout the day for anyone driving in the lane, and she had a few nice blocks from the weak side. Anaya is definitely a college level prospect, and I think can possibly play at the division 1 level. [player_tooltip player_id='583463' first='Ava' last='Kraybill'], High School Egg Harbor Township, HT 5'7, Position CG, Class 2025 Ava is a skilled Guard, who played with high energy throughout the day. Playing 4 games in one day is not easy. Ava looked well conditioned, and still had a lot left in the last game. She can score at three levels, and plays just as effective at the PG, or SG. She does a good job taking care of the ball, and makes good decision. She had a nice hesitation move to draw a foul, and she does not need a lot of time to make her move. Ava was a good teammate throughout the day, and communicated well on defense. Ava is a solid all around Guard, who is a player to watch in her Junior season.
