Christ the King
Christ the King are led by top sophomore center Olivia Vukosa Olivia Vukosa 6'3" | C Christ the King | 2026 State NY and senior transfer Lauryn Swann Lauryn Swann 5'7" | PG LuHI | 2024 State NY . This is a hard working and physical team coached by one of the best in New York, Coach Mackey. The system in place will look to utilize the team’s combination of size, athleticism, and skill that Vukosa, Swann and company bring to the floor. They will look to play an attacking style of basketball at all three levels. On the defensive end, the pillars are in place for this team to be suffocating on the perimeter and protecting the paint with rim protection and rebounding. The expectations should be high this season and for good reason.
Long Island Lutheran
The Crusaders are led by reigning state player of the year Kate Koval Kate Koval 6'5" | PF LuHi | 2024 State NY , Syla Swords Syla Swords CG LuHi | 2024 State NY , and Madison Francis Madison Francis 6'2" | SF Lancaster High | 2025 State NY . This team is well coached with a system that is designed around their individual skill sets of this loaded roster. LuHi will look to play an up tempo style of basketball, attacking at all three levels on the offensive end and looking to push the break in transition. On the defensive end, they have the chance to be one of the best defensive units in the nation. They fell short in their quest to become national champs losing to Montverde Academy last season but return with even more depth, experience, and talent. Look for them to make another run at the national title this season. They are loaded again this season.
South Shore
The state champs return with a loaded and talented roster that can get after it defensively. Led by top prospect Ariel Little Ariel Little 5'6" | PG South Shore | 2024 State NY , and Isabela Grant Isabela Grant 6'2" | PF Blair Academy | 2025 State NJ in the post. South Shore can score at will on the offensive end, and can beat you at all three levels. They play outstanding team defense, look to create turnovers, and utilizing their versatility on the perimeter to create turnovers and push the tempo on the break for easy buckets. On the offensive side of the ball, South Shore plays an unselfish style of basketball that emphasize ball movement and taking high % shots. They can light it up on the perimeter and bulldoze their way in paint for easy buckets. They have great depth and can score in numbers and defend with Yahmani Mackayle, Makayla Moore, and Natalia Williams Natalia Williams 5'10" | SF South Shore | 2024 State NY . They should be the favorites to repeat and pose the biggest threat to dethrone LuHi as the best team in New York.
