Georgia is a state that is notably rich in high school girls basketball talent – and a large number of those talents will be on hand at the LakePoint Sports complex in Cartersville for this year’s Top 250 Expo. It is the final Top 250 Expo on this year’s Prep Girls Hoops schedule.
We begin our preview series with a look at a few from this year’s sophomore class that are certain to bring their A-games.
Allen will be the lone representative at this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo from 6A Alexander and she is poised to put forth a strong showing on behalf of her Cougars. Standing at 5-foot-7, she primarily operates at either one of the backcourt guard positions as either a one or a two. Prior to arriving on the scene at Alexander, she was a middle school standout who wore the uniform of Mason Creek MS. When Allen and her Cougars take to the court in 2023-24, it will be in Alexander’s eighth season as a 6A competitor since moving up from 5A.
When we noticed this name as part of the participants for this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo, it immediately rang a bell for us. We remember when we saw her Wood Elite 2026 team compete at this year’s Peach Games as part of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region. Along with being a very efficient scorer, she also proves how much of an asset she is to a team via her rebounding capabilities as well as with her knack for creating additional possessions for her team with steals. Jacobs will also make proficient passes to her teammates to put them in position to make plays.

Shiloh will still be wearing red this coming season even if it is at a different school. The Red Elephants of 6A Gainesville will be the beneficiaries of Shiloh’s athletic talents after transferring from the Falcons of 5A Flowery Branch. Shiloh joins a team that put together a 23-6 mark in 2022-23. She will be the only representative from the Red Elephants that will be part of this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo. With Shiloh’s height, she can be counted on for big games not only in terms of her scoring, but also her rebounding. Shiloh typically plays as a pure five.
Following a stint on the travel circuit with FBC NextUp 16U, this young up-and-comer out of 7A Milton hopes to translate that into a noteworthy sophomore season with the Eagles. Young is listed at 5-foot-10 and while she may possess the height of a four or even a five, she particularly excels as a two guard or a three in the frontcourt. She will be the only representative from Milton that is slated to attend this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo. Last season’s Eagles rendition finished with a 12-13 record, which is a massive step forward by recent Milton standards.
