Young finished the game with 18 points knocking down shots from the three-point range as well as the midrange and adding a few points around the basket. Young has a very quick release and had her feet ready and shoulders squared when she received the ball. She is a very good athlete who plays hard for an excellent Milton program. Young is a winner and competitor and will do whatever it takes to win. Young was active rebounding the ball and played very good defense. Young will make the college program she chooses better.
A double-double machine whose game impacts both ends, Caroline continues to evolve her perimeter skill set. Her length, motor, and height make her a matchup nightmare. Young can defend 1 through 5, block shots, and disrupt passing lanes in the press. Offensively, she stretches the floor with a reliable three-point shot. She doesn’t need big scoring nights to leave a big imprint on games.
A double-double machine, Caroline’s perimeter skills have improved yearly. Her length, height and motor translate well to the next level. Young is a switchable 1-5 defender. She blocks shots and gets her hands on deflections in the press. Caroline is a stretchy combo-forward with a three-point shot that must be respected. Her influence extends to both ends of the floor, making her an impact player without having to score double-digits nightly.
Up from 38: Great versatility on both ends of the floor. At 6-foot tall, can be used all over the floor. Three-point shot and ball handling has improved each season. Quick off the floor. Very good rebounder. Blocks shots inside and can get deflections and steal on the perimeter. Switchability on defense. Averaged 10.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 32% from deep. On D-I radars.
Young relentless activity on the glass is a testament to her high energy, consistently securing second-chance points and putbacks that keep her team in the lead. Young’s basketball IQ is nothing short of impressive; her intuitive understanding of the game ensures she’s always positioned optimally, ready to make pivotal plays that swing the momentum in her team’s favor. What truly sets Young apart is her remarkable wingspan, a natural advantage that she leverages to dominate the boards and disrupt passing lanes. Her ability to rebound and generate steals at a high rate not only showcases her defensive prowess but also ignites fast-break opportunities for her team. Offensively, Young’s jumper is a thing of beauty. With a high release point, she effortlessly shoots over defenders, her form both consistent and reliable. This skill, combined with her court awareness, makes her an offensive threat from multiple spots on the floor.
She hustles every play and is in constant communication with her teammates. Although Caroline is a sophomore, she is one of the captains on the team. Her activity on both sides of the floor is a huge positive for this team as she grabs rebounds to start the break and second chance opportunities for her team. Caroline provides good length to reach in passing lanes and get steals.
Following a stint on the travel circuit with FBC
NextUp 16U, this young up-and-comer out of 7A Milton hopes to translate that into a noteworthy sophomore season with the Eagles. Young is listed at 5-foot-10 and while she may possess the height of a four or even a five, she particularly excels as a two guard or a three in the frontcourt. She will be the only representative from Milton that is slated to attend this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo. Last season’s Eagles rendition finished with a 12-13 record, which is a massive step forward by recent Milton standards.
Impressive length, size and mobility. Plays atop the press. Knack for racking up deflections and making it hard to advance the ball. Has a versatile skill set that helps her play inside and out.
