The recruiting trail continues to heat up in New Jersey as the 2023-24 high school girls basketball season approaches. Plenty of top-name talent is still yet to commit, but more and more prospects are receiving offers, taking visits and announcing commitments. Here's the last round of updates.

[player_tooltip player_id='325185' first='Chloe' last='Vasquez'] - Pequannock Township (2024) officially visits Iona

We've known since July that Vasquez will be donning the brown and gold of the Iona Gaels next season, and she got the chance to take an official visit following her commitment this week.

Since we already know where she's headed, we now get the opportunity to talk further about her overall success on the court, reaching new heights as a junior. She averaged more than 20 points and eight rebounds a game for Pequannock along with more than two threes, two assists and nearly three steals a game. Vasquez is a near-complete guard with great leadership skills and someone who commands the game well.

[player_tooltip player_id='488768' first='Savannah' last='Prescott'] - Our Lady of Mercy (2024) commits to the University of Bridgeport

Big or small, we cover it all, and next is Our Lady of Mercy senior prospect [player_tooltip player_id='488768' first='Savannah' last='Prescott'], who committed to the University of Bridgeport this week.

Consistent is the best way to describe Prescott, averaging 10.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG and 2.5 APG in 27 games played as a junior. She reached career-highs in a number of categories, improved on her scoring, grew into an unquestioned leader for OLMA and grew in maturity as an upperclassman. The senior guard has a lot to prove this season on a team that's here to prove itself to the rest of the Cape-Atlantic League

[player_tooltip player_id='333354' first='Sofia' last='Valente'] - Immaculate Heart (2025) visits Lafayette

Lafayette looks to be recruiting Valente hard as this is her second visit to the school over the past month, and she's now officially been offered by the Division I program.

One of the top players in our 2025 rankings, Valente has deserved the attention, continuously excelling on the basketball court, whether for Empire State Blue Flames in AAU ball or Immaculate Heart in high school. We have seen her develop into a much better and more confident shooter, something that's helped to translate into more consistent success offensively, while just being a more productive player overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='525473' first='Mia' last='Gestosani'] - Mount St. Mary (2025) visits Columbia

Gestosani is someone who is an up-and-coming prospect in New Jersey, a senior guard with a great shooting tool that can score in all three phases of the game. Columbia has taken notice early as she went on a visit of the Lions' facility this week.

It's taken way too long, in our opinion, for college scouts to notice her because she's been just an incredible player to watch over the past two years, reaching a crescendo as a sophomore with 13.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 2.8 APG, 2.6 SPG and 1.2 made three-pointers a game in 26 games played. Plenty of 15+ and 20+ point performances are sprinkled into that, but if her sophomore year was the opener, her junior year will be the main act.
