Ke’Sonia Nelson Ke’Sonia Nelson 5'5" | PG John Curtis | 2026 State LA 5’5″ John Curtis
Ke’Sonia was a consistent double digit scorer last season. She is a true floor general who can dictate the pace of the game. She is very good off the dribble getting to her spots and creating open looks for teammates. She is a good shooter from three point range . Ke’Sonia is very good on the defensive end at creating turnovers with her aggressive play .She is very good in transition. John Curtis lost in the championship game of the Division I Select bracket.
Nia Darby Nia Darby 5'5" | PG ABBEVILLE H.S | 2026 State LA 5’5″ Abbeville H.S
Nia is another great sophomore point guard who can shoot the three and beat you off the dribble. She is a excellent passer and spreads the ball around to her teammates. Nia plays good team defense and is good in transition. Abbeville lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs last season . They have a good young returning core and should be ready for a deeper playoff run this season.
Skylah Polk Skylah Polk 5'5" | PG St. Marys | 2026 State LA 5’5″ St. Marys
Skylah has a terrific freshman season .She averaged over 15 points, 2 assist, 4 rebounds , and 4 steals a game last season. She is a outstanding shooter from three point range and mid range .She makes players around her better with her playmaking ability. Skylah rebounds well from her guard position and plays top notch high pressure defense. St. Marys didn’t make the playoffs last season.
Jarissa Davis Jarissa Davis 5'6" | PG Lafayette Christian | 2026 State LA 5’6″ Lafayette Christian
Jarissa played a big role for Lafayette Christian as a freshman last season. She is a true floor general who can score the basketball. She is a good shooter from behind the arc and creates open looks for her teammates with timely passing. Jarissa is a good defender who gets in passing lanes and finishes in transition. Lafayette Christian won the Division II select state championship last season.
Khia Thomas Khia Thomas 5'6" | PG Parkway | 2026 State LA 5’5″ Parkway
Khia is a excellent point guard for a loaded Parkway team who won the Division I Non Select state championship. She shoots it well from every where and is a good passing point guard .Khia plays good pressure defense and will be a team leader this coming season. Parkway is loaded for another deep playoff run.
