The 5A conference is loaded with talented players who will, without a doubt, impact all the way up to the Open playoffs. Some of these players will be in the player of the year conversations.

[player_tooltip player_id='205641' first='Elli' last='Guiney'] Millennium

One of the more decorated players of recent years, looks to close out her career on a high note. She's working with a younger supporting cast, but don't count the Tigers out.

[player_tooltip player_id='558946' first='Mackenzie' last='Buckner'] Betty Fairfax

Buckner is probably the top-post player in the class, and she will have to carry a Stampede team that was hit hard with transfers.

[player_tooltip player_id='623903' first='Makayla' last='Carter'] Mountain View Marana (Featured Image)

An improving prospect, Carter looks to lead a team that should improve on last year's record. She will put a lot of pressure on opposing teams with her length and athletic ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='205670' first='Ava' last='Pautz'] Notre Dame Prep

Pautz leads a Saints team that looks to make more noise after a 19-9 season the previous year. They add a top freshman to go along with their top two returning scorers.

[player_tooltip player_id='558901' first='Clara-Mae' last='Hrouch'] Catalina Foothills

Clara Mae leads a team that lost its top scorer but returns everyone else. Hrouch is the spark plug and will elevate the play of those around her.

[player_tooltip player_id='640378' first='Ava' last='Lewis'] Casteel

Lewis has been quietly leading a youth movement over at Casteel. She is a versatile forward who makes an impact on both ends of the floor.
